Back to the TCG after years...Flygon Lv.X deck?

I'm back to collecting again after about 8 or so years. I remember stopping around the time of the third Neo set.
I found a league nearby finally and I wanna make a sweet deck.

I pulled a Flygon Lv.X recently and thought of basing a deck around it.
Anyone have any suggestions? Is Rising Rivals still legal?

EDIT: Please read the Player's Sandbox rules before posting. I added the link. ~EspeonROX.

Flygon LV.X from Rising Rivals.

rising rivals is still legal, although unfortunately for you flygon's time of supremacy has pretty much came and went. It was really popular in 2008 and did Really well at worlds, but since then Other, better cards came out that outclassed it. Right now luxchomp and gengar prime look to be the Best decks to play, but if you Really want a deck with flygon, I suggest either donphan prime or tyranitar prime. Both are heavy hitters and can retreat for free using Flygon RR's rainbow float body.

Since this thread is looking for ideas with Flygon Lv.X, this thread belongs in the Player's Sandbox Forum.

Yeah current format is MD on
So RR is still legal

There are a few flygon decks around, do a search in the deck garage for flygon and should turn up something! I know very little about flygon sorry :(

Welcome back :D

Man, there was this deck that used restructure Palkia and Trapinch SW to bring up their benched Pokémon with heavy retreats (i.e. Claydol) and then just sit there and deck them all day long.
It was great.
I really have no idea what to do with the card now.

with pokemon catcher coming out in the BW series, it'll still be possible to deck them out that way.

what is your focus with using flygon X? to deck them, or to hit their lv X's for a KO?

if you're going to do an attacking deck, I say you include an Exploud SV so flygon doesn't get revenge KO'd by a Garchomp C X.

if you're doing a decking type deck, wait till the Black and white series comes out. and that way you can use Catcher to bring up their bench and do the same high retreat cost pokemon to sit there.
