Heya guys! Me and a few friends have decided to have some fun and go back to play the original Base Set (Base Set to Team Rocket). Since we are just doing it for fun I really wanted to revisit one of my favorite cards on the GBC PTCG Game! Exeggutor.

I've seen a lot of Energy Trans lists that run Venusaur and Venomoth, but for laughs and giggles I want to try and switch the Venomoth line out for Exeggutor. I couldn't really find any definite lists, often some would play either 4/4/4 lines or run 4 Pokemon Breeder etc, but I can't decide what I should run.

Here's my list so far;

4 Bulbasaur B 44
3 Ivysaur B 30
3 Venusaur B 15
3 Exeggcute J 52
3 Exeggutor J 35
2 Pinsir J 9
1 Scyther J 10

4 Bill B 91
3 Professor Oak B 88
3 Computer Search B 71
3 Pokemon Center B 85
2 Item finder B 74
2 Gust of Wind B 93
2 Nightly Garbage Run R 77
1 Pokemon Trader BS 77

17 Grass Energy B 99
4 Double Colorless Energy B 96

The basic idea being you can move your energy around with Venusaur's Energy Trans. This allows you to stack big damage on Exeggutor one turn, move all energy to an undamaged Pokemon the next, then full heal with Pokemon Center and move it back to hit again!

This is my first attempt at Base Set "format" so I was wondering if anyone else played this kind of format (or remembers it!) and if you could give me any advice/feedback! As man it was a veeery different time than how things are now haha!
Many thanks! :)

I have a big Eggsplosion deck as well, which I use on TCG ONE in the gen 1 format.

Heres my deck list:
4 Electrode BS 21
4Voltorb BS 67
4 Exeggutor JU 35
4 Exeggcute JU 52

5 Psychic Energy BS 101
4 Double Colorless Energy BS 96
4 Full Heal Energy TR 81
4 Potion Energy TR 82

4 Computer Search BS 71
2 Item Finder BS 74
2 Pokemon Trader BS 77
4 Defender BS 80
3 Professor Oak BS 88
4 Bill BS 91
2 Gust Of Wind BS 93
4 Potion BS 94
2 Nightly Garbage Run TR 77

If you and your friend would allow Team rocket cards, then you have access to the cool energy cards like potion and full heal energy, which are perfect for keeps the palm tree alive, and you can recycle cards back into your deck with Nightly Garbage Run.
I used this deck mostly for completing the sites grass type damage daily quests, and has great acceleration with Electrode providing 2 of energy energy, however the deck is very suseptable to energy removal cards, and i couldn't find the space to put in some No Removal Gym stadium cards, which forces your opponent to discard 2 cards from their hand if they want to play an energy removal or super energy removal card from their hand.
