That's like saying that playing sycamore makes shaymin EX useless.

If you take any card with a similar effect as a supporter, but then make it NOT a supporter, the supporter becomes more useless, not the other card.
 
For everyone saying how underwhelming B.B. is: why are you surprised that the card has to do with your prizes when all the UB GX attacks affect the prizes lol

Just because Ultra Beasts interact with prizes in some way doesn't mean Beast Ball has to be a crappy knock off Gladion

Plasma pokemon focus on plasma energy, that doesn't mean plasma ball has to require you to discard a plasma energy.

Beast ball is just great ball, except you have to pick from the same 6 cards every time.

Unless they release an Ultra Energy card that lets you run like 15 UB's, then most decks aren't going to run more than 7 or 8 ub's, and in those decks, Beast Ball will be almost entirely useless in 40-45% of games, and that's at least 1 UB. If you want at least 2 UB's in your prizes to use more than one beast ball in a game, then there's only a 17% chance if you run 8 UB's. In the games where it's USABLE, it's not amazing.

Yeah, right. I am just overpositive on the Beast because.. This is the first support for UBs, but the reality... It relies on prized UBs. Maybe I decrease it to 3 because the effect isn't like Ultra Ball. I realized that part.

This is wrong. Not all plasma Pokémon were affected by plasma energy while all UBs and UB support currently involves prize cards. Maybe this will change but for now, it is what it is

Plasma ball is proof that a ball card doesn't necessarily have to follow the same gimmick as the cards themselves.

Also, there is no UB support other than beast ball. Beast ball is not consistent with other ub support because there is literally nothing in terms of UB support.

And even beyond all that, they didn't need to make beast ball so incredibly bad in order to fit the gimmick. Making beast ball say:

"Search your deck for an Ultra Beast and add it to your hand. If your opponent has more prize cards remaining than you, you can't use this card"

would still follow the theme of the UB's without being awful.
