Pokemon ~ 29

3-2-2 Beautifly
2-1-2 Sceptile
2-2-2 Roserade
2-2-1 Leafeon X (Leafeon UD)
1-1 Shaymin X
2-2 Claydol

T/S/S ~ 19

x2 BTS
x3 Rare Candy
x2 Warp Point
x2 Level Max
x3 Bebe's Search
x2 Flower Shop Lady
x2 Twins
x2 Fisherman
x1 Professor Elm's Training Method

Energy ~ 12
x12 Grass

Strategy:
Get Beautifly out quick, along with Sceptile. 2 energy = asleep, poison, burn.
If Beautifly gets knocked out, stall with Roserade/Leafeon Combo (Miasma) and use FSL to get Beautifly back out. Repeat.

Quick deck idea I made. Need help and advice. Good start? Or am I missing something major?

The competitive format is MD-on (Majestic Dawn). Those are packs. You can t use those which comes before this one. Your Sceptile is Wild Growth, right? It comes from Great Encounter, which you can t play it.

This deck is just for casual play among friends, so I'm not planning on making it tournament worthy. haha. Any advice on it though?

A few questions: 1) Which series is your Beautifly from? Does it have Whirlwind as an attack or Colorful Powder? If it is the latter then you are ok, but if it has Whirlwind, its weakness is fire. I'm guessing your claydol is from SV, right? One of its attacks is Antique Magic?

I ask because of weakness. If your main attackers are all weak to fire, you are gonna be in a world of hurt if you come across one. Just something to consider. Thats why if I run a deck that my main attacker's type has many different weaknesses, I try to exploit that, as to not get pinned down so easily. (Examples are: Fighting: its weakness is {P}, {G}, {W}, {L}, and {R})

You see where I am going with this?

SV Claydol?! i'm pretty sure the OP is running Claydol GE (the only usable Claydol) There's no point in running Leafeon and Roserade if the focus is all about Beautifly, unnecessary pokemon just slow the deck down.

-2-2-2 Roserade
-2-2-1 Leafeon lvX
-2 Fisherman
-1 Prof Elm's
(-14)

+1 Uxie LA (more draw power)
+1 Unown Q (incase of Baltoy Start)
+1 Beautifly PL
+3 Roseanne's Research (helps get out basics and energy)
+1 Bebe's Search
+1 Rare Candy
+2 Pokemon Communication
+2 Expert Belt (Extra damage onto of poison and burn)
+2 Professor Oak's new Thoery (hand refreshment)

LOL @ Claydol SV. I really don't think you even need to put the set from which the Claydol yer using is from, barring a really wierd, outlandish deck. I think it's most likely just a given that it's Claydol GE. It would be cool to see an "Antique Magic" deck, though!
