I was wondering about beautifly's first attack. Does all of the effects come into play if u have 1 {G} on beautifly? What is the deal with that?

If you read the card. It tells if you you have two or less energies attached to Beautifly, the Defending Pokemon is poisoned.

And with 3 energy it burns and poisons and with 4 energy it burns poisons and does 40 more damage and they go to sleep.

Edited.

I think what he meant to say is, do all the energy have to be grass energy, or only 1 of them? The answer to that is, only 1 energy has to be grass, for the attack cost is {G} and it says energy, not grass energy.

No. According to the card:

"If Beautifly has 2 or less Energy attached to it, the Defending Pokemon is now Poisoned..."

Stop there. If you only have 1 Energy attached to Beautifly, then the defending Pokemon will become only Poisoned. Only when you have 3 Energy attached to Beautifly would you be able too apply Burned and Poisoned to the Defending Pokemon.

In simple terms, the Defending Pokemon will become just Poisoned with 1 Energy regardless of its type.

I hate to be such a hawk lately, but the attack is very clear on what it does and when. We should wait to see if WaltRegus12 comes back to clarify his/her question before going off on this tangent.

well my friends and i discused it, sort of chewed it over and it is all cleared up thanks for the comments and posts everyone!:)
