Card of the Day: Bellossom
4.jpg

Bellossom – Grass – HP110
Stage 2 – Evolves from Gloom

[G] Grass Knot: 10+ damage. This attack does 20 more damage for each Energy required for the Defending Pokemon to retreat.
[G][C][C] Petal Dance: 50x damage. Flip three coins. This attack does 50 damage times the number of heads. This Pokemon is now Confused.

Weakness: Fire (x2)
Resistance: Water (-20)
Retreat: 1

Not too great, but it can OHKO Blastoise and 2HKO Keldeo EX. Alongside the Jellicent form the same set, it makes sort of a poor man's Fluffychomp. As bad as that is.

I think this will make a nice addition to Vilebox decks, as it can hit the big-name pokemon that are weak to Grass (Blastoise, KeldeoEX, Terrakion, TerrakionEX, for the magic 50 (Enough to OHKO any pokemon with weakness in a Vileplume deck). It'll also be nice to evolve your spare oddishes on the field, and the one retreat cost works wonderfully in case you need to retreat without using a switch. Only issue is that either you need to run Grass energies as your basics, or hope across a DGRP Blend to attack (Prism doesn't work). 6/10 for being a good card in one deck, but still having flaws even then and only working in that one deck effectively.

I think the Art's really cute, I think it's dancing on a frozen Moor of Iccirus? Has that sense of innocence. 8/10.

Most people will pair this Vileplume, but I would like to point out that by itself, it OHKO's Terrakion EX without Eviolite ((20 * 4 + 10) * 2) for one energy.

Garchomp already is "a poor man's deck" :p

It is good against terrakion and blastoise and goes really good with jellicent. I would like to make a table of the most important pokemon. It would go bad against Darkrai and a good part is that you can have more than 1 Jellicent in play. If you are going to make the deck include plus powers and tool scrapper.

Mewtwo EX 50/70/90
Darkrai EX 50/70/90
Hydreigon 70/90
Garchomp 50/70
Terrakion 18/220
Terrakion EX 140/180
Empoleon 30/50/70
Blastoise 180/220
Keldeo EX 100/140/180
Garbodor 70/90/110

One major issue: Darkrai removes all retreat cost, meaning any Darkrai deck will be taking practically no damage as long as they have energy attatched.

That said, I can only see this being used in Vileplume. Personally, I think Virizion w/pluspower is a better way to handle Keldeo, but this isn't a terrible alternative.
