Besides Eye Candy, Arceus is good for...

... trading to little kids. Younger kids all want Arceus, and will trade practically anything for them. It is almost criminal to do this, but when I already have 2 extra (soon to be 3) of a complete set, there is nothing to do with them except to trade them for that 1 or 2 cards your deck needs.

So have any of you made a good trade with an Arceus?

I've got an arceus deck I'm winning like crazy with. Its one of the fastest decks I've built. I'd love to trade for any Arceus #94 you have.

Sorry, my only duplicates are AR7, AR9, and soon to be AR6, (starter deck with 2 Expert Belts is amazing)

Edit, Now I have AR1, AR5, AR6x2, AR7 and AR9 as duplicates

I'm thinking about getting one of those Arceus Themed Decks, just to get a head-start on my Arceus collection, since I've only been collecting Supreme Victors.

Would you recommend that? Is it a collection worth getting? Or would you recommend I start collecting Rising Rivals instead? (I just started my collection, and it's still limited to Supreme Victors.)

I saw a kid get traded 5 of the regular Arceus for a Salamence Lv.X... which is a terrible shame but not to say I wouldn't have done the same if I was in that situation lol. It's just like any Charizard or another Pokemon of that level of fame, really. Most kids don't care about the playability of cards, just how big the numbers on them are and how cool they look.

You guys are lucky. Here in Florida, most of the little kids actually know how to play pretty good, and ripping them off is near impossible. Not that I'd be willing to try anything shady, but still, they're not dumb. xD

Honestly, Arceus in itself is not horrible. Most people will play it around Ripple Swell, but the truth is that is just a waste of time. Arceus's skills in type-trumping are second to none, and I am a firm believer in that it will actually do pretty good. No one knows how to play it yet, that's all. :p

I've made a trade with one of my Arceus cards. It was an Arceus (Ripple Swell) for his Flygon RR. He seemed pretty happy to be rid of it, actually, so I didn't mind at all.

Yeah, its sad that little kids only trade for some cards because of "looks".

I myself will never rip someone else off. HOWEVER, if they come to me and propose a trade (thats is a rip off for them) I will acept. They came to me.

At the arceus PR, some Junior traded me a Salamence X for 1 fighting, 1 colorless, and 1 Psychic arceus.

Well that is where you are wrong at my league the little kids rip each other of and they don't even know it and well I have to play make fair trades patrol. I don't think I ever ripped some little kid off because there card always marks on them so nothing good for me lol.

Here in Maryland, doing trades like this is a snap. There are so many juniors that think that Arceus is so great, that they'll trade like two Lv.X's for two Arceus. Unfortunately, thanks to someone using an Arceus deck and not doing so well, the amount of those people are starting to go down.

Unfortunately, my dad thinks Arceus is very good:/

I'm telling you guys, arceus is awesome if you play it right.

If it is so good then post the list so we can see for ourselves. I do not think it is a good deck personaly. But that is my Opinon.

Haha funny

Anyways, ripping little kids off is just dumb. I mean still, trade little for them. This one kid was trying to get a REVERSE DUSK DP off a kid for like a promo magnezone or something. How disgusting is that? I traded the reverse dusk off the kid however, this is how the trade went:

His: Reverse Dusk DP
My: Reverse Blaze FB, Garchomp CX(promo), 2 Magnezone(steel, SF, one was reverse holo)

See thats the problem. Its such a strange deck you can't look at the decklist to see how good it is. You need to try it for yourself. Have any of you guys actually TRIED the deck, or did you just assume it sucks?

I don't want to post a full deck list until after cities, but I will tell you it focuses on Meteor Blast and Ripple swell, and Lucario C.

Ripple Swell cannot work with Lucario C out. I agree that Arceus can do good things... but your strategy does not sound solid.

Who says he'll get Lucario C out in the early-game? He'll most likely wait for them to KO a Pokemon, then he'll bench it and get full benefit of both cards. He can always SSU a Pokemon first and then drop Lucario C. His strategy seems incredibly sound to me.

But what does Lucario C do? Its attacks are awful-unless you mean Lucario GL?

Right. GL. And PokeChamp was right. Ripple swell as much as you can before they knock something out, and then drop the Lucario.

OOO ok, that makes sense. I was like what does Lucario C do? 20 damage? Lol. That makes sense, charge up, then slap down for weakness and beat their faces in. I like it.
