Best Anime Openings

Ok guys, in your opinion, what are your favorite anime openings? I'm going to be using this information for something very important, so be serious. Tell me your favorite 2 or 3 anime openings, their respective series, and a brief blip about why you love them so much. Also, if its in a never-ending series (such as Bleach or Naruto), say which opening # it is, and, if possible, the name of the original song.

I'll go first.

My top 3 are (in no perticular order):
Hellsing opening - Logos naki World
This song is very laid back. The images shown match up to the tone of the song all the way through. Everything is very stylish and well done.
Death Note opening - theWorld
I am a huge fan of punk rock. This song is, for me, the epitome of good Japanese Punk Rock. The images are also perfect for the subject matter. The images do a great job setting up the anime. They are dark and weird, and show the constant struggle between L and Kira perfectly.
Code Geass R2 Opening 2 - World End
This one got me in how catchy it is. I cannot stop singing it once I've started. The images shown are all very symbolic of something. The opening took place in the last part of season 2. It basically gave a few hints at what was going to happen, but gave tiny hints. Nothing major. The characters are all shown with an alternate colour scheme (showing their status in the anime) which I find to be cool. Overall, great opening for an even better anime. :D
 
I agree, Deathnote's opening was porbably the best one on this dang planet. Aside from being the best anime.

I also like Bleach's 4th closer and Naruto's 13th closer
 
I don't watch much Anime... but these are the things I like. Some are endings but W/E

Inuyasha Season 2 ending I used to wake up at 4:00 AM to watch this show lol

I also like the Ino opener.
 
Oh, how I love FMA Openings #2-4. Great music, and a feast for the eyes! Their endings slowly got worse however. Samurai Champloo's theme was catchy. That, and Bleach 7th season opening was also a great opening. And I do have to agree with Z-Man, that The World (Nightmare) is a great opening, as well as a great anime in general. Every time someone in my class is shouting some random nonsensical stupidity, I always hear that in my head, as they keel over, and I imagine myself becoming the new god of the planet (or of XXXXX county.)

I'm not that bad of a person, am I?
 
Juliacoolo, I totally agree with you on that Inuyasha ending being amazing. UGH. I still love it so much. x)

Anyway! xP Unfortunately the Anime I've seen doesn't stray too far from "what Adult Swim has shown at some point", though there are a few exceptions. My favorite openings, in no specific order, are:

Azumanga Daioh!
Catchy, strange, and funny - it just fits so well with the series as a whole. I can't help but sing along with it. D: The song is called "Soramimi Cake".

Code Geass R2 Opening #2: World End

Death Note Opening #2: What's Up People!?
I really love the song for this, and despite the series being dark (for the most part), the wacky parts of the opening are nice. The overall detail in the art for the opening is pretty amazing, too.

Wolf's Rain
The visuals are amazing and go perfectly with the song. The song itself is also amazing (though I love pretty much every track used in the series). The song is "Stray" by Steve Conte.

D.N. Angel
The song, "True Light", is simply awesome. The visuals are nice, as well, and go along with the song perfectly.

Blood+ (All Openings)
Seriously, every opening for this series is awesome. But my favorite of them all would be the one featuring "Colors of the Heart" by UVERworld - the song itself is great, and the visuals in the opening are astounding.

I'm sure there are some I'm forgetting, but that's off the top of my head. Evangelion had a pretty nice opening too, though I can't really say it was a favorite of mine.

And I have a love for Bleach Opening 7. ;D

yes most of these are naruto. These are in no specific order by the way.

Japanese Naruto opening 3

I just like how the singer sings this really fast. she sounds a bit high though...

Naruto Shippuuden opening 2 - Distance

no this song is not called you are my friend. I like the concept of this song and the visuals fit it pretty well IMO

Naruto Shippuuden Opening 6 - Sign

Visuals fit, good song overall.

Sonix X Japanese Opening - S,O,N,I,C GO!

IMO Visuals fit very well, goes well with sonic

Hamtaro Japanese Opening - Tottoko Hamutaro

(couldnt find the actual opening) IMO great song, the visuals worked very well though you cant see them.
 
Yami no Matsuei (Descendents of Darkness)

Amazing opening for an amazing anime...shame it only lasted 13 episodes. :(

And let's throw in Outlaw Star to add some testosterone to the mix. Stir gently for one minute, add to the pan, and bake for 22 minutes. Let cool for a few additional minutes.

I don't think that they're up to a fifth season, I think your talking about the first Brotherhood opening. Although I agree.

Personally, Bleach OP 6 (Alones) is my favorite.
 
Keroro Gunso Season 2 opening:
Went well with the image. Very funny, had some inside jokes about the characters.
Keroro Gunso Season 3 opening:
Only chose this song because the hold song was about giving away juice. It was hilarious to watch.

Pokemon Season 1 opening:
Sorry, had to put this here. Its so cheesey because its supposed to be serious, I think its awesome.
 
Who thought it was a good idea to revive this? It's weeks old. Nice try guys ;P I show no preference to my own threads
