I share your exact same opinion. Save for Cynthia and the Galactic-based tracks, I found pretty much all the tracks in D/P to be immensely boring. Honestly I think the only overworlds I liked there were Route 201, Route 225, and Galactic HQ.

I found the Galactic Grunts Theme catchy. Apparently SSBB also did which is why they remixed it for SSBB

I actually like the Extra Legendaries (Heatran/Regigigas/Cresselia/Darkrai/etc.) music in DPPt. It just has that hard rock theme I'm looking for.

Also, the Champion music of FRLG. That has to be my favorite.

I'd say the battle against N for my favorite in the normal games. For spinoff games I'd go with Beyond The Sky. In the moview my favorite is Lugia's Song.
