Best Cards Coming out of Emerald Break

My opinion on the set:
Exeggcutor: OK, but probably would only see play as a tech for Rayquaza decks in Eggs, but I doubt it.
Beautifly: Terrible, safeguard on a Stage 2 nope!
Ninjask: Would be good if it didn't limit the ability to the active pokemon AND if Lysandres trump card is in the format. It might be OK with Eggs and Keldeo EX, but I think it has too many setbacks.
Shedinja: Interesting attack. Would need to be ran with Floette (Finally a use for that guy!). It could be something with stage 1's bypassing silent lab, but with the low HP I can't see a huge competitive scene with this card (but I was wrong about night march...)
Thundurus EX: 1st off, this is probably one of the worst graphics I've seen on a card in awhile. 2nd, its attacks are too hefty for it to be good.
Banette: VERY COOL CARD! While it actually doesn't work against Garb, it will be amazing against anything with Spirit Links, Hard Charms, Float Stones, Muscle Bands etc. I'm very happy to see this card in a heavy-tool format! While its a stage 1, that never stopped anyone from playing Garb, so I think this guy will see a lot of play.
M Gallade EX: I think this guy will be just as overhyped as Mega Gengar was. In theory, you can do a lot of damage by the 2nd turn with probably Foretress/Crobats as a side line. I don't think its consistent enough to happen though as it needs many things in place for a T2/T3 attack. Also, he's psychic type...and Mewtwo is REALLY big right now. Fairies, Toad, and other decks run Mewtwo, and with 5 energy between pokemon and a muscle band Mewtwo OHKOes you (220 hp sucks for him). I'm still unsure about him but I don't like it too much.
Absol: #memories. I wish this card was changed slightly though for this format. Maybe 5/6 damage counters? Seems like a lot, but honestly 3 was a lot back in the old ex series with low HP Exs, so it should have been modified for higher HP EXs in this format.
Jirachi: 2nd attack seems interesting, but not too playable.
Dragonite (non AT): I really like this ability, but being a stage 2 kinda sucks and so does his attack.
Salamance: Hey...3 attacks are back! Nothing really good here still.
Latios EX: Overhyped, 40/60 is OK first turn, but nothing to revolve a deck around.
M Latios EX: I do kinda like this guy. Works well with the new energy and the turbo card. It OHKOs many non EXs, as well as Shaymin, Jirachi, Victini EXs. I could see a bats variant to this deck, but it seems very techy with a lot to get for it to work efficiently.
Reshiram: I personally don't think he's that good, but the ability works. He has to be active and probably wont attack/do damage (unlike yveltal to power dark and landorus to power fighting), which I really dislike. That said, being able to double attach is usually really good in the TCG and I don't doubt he will get play.
Dunsparce: Dig Dig...'nuff said
Rayquaza/Mega Rayquaza/Shaymin EX: All probably amazing and just gonna skip the hype train to talk about other stuff
Unfezant: Is the 2nd attack correct? Seems very...odd. If thats real then energy and items get scooped back into the deck, essentially 'resetting' the board without taking away the current gamestate. I doubt it will be good due to it being a stage 2 and needs 3 energy, but I could see a gimmick deck with this.
Revive: I always liked this card, so I'm happy its back. Even in the EX format, I think its a good edition because it doesn't abuse Shaymin/jirachi, and has to be a basic pokemon. This is really helpful in stage 1/2 decks too, so I think it could see play again!
Trainer's Post: Terrible name IMHO, but great card. Odds are you'll get something good...I'd replace bicycle with this card.
Mega Turbo: Seems good in theory, but might have a few flaws in practice. You DO need a mega in play with basic energy in the discard, but I dont think that that will be TOO difficult. I don't expect many T1 Quazas though (like the T1 night spear of today)
Wide Angle Lens: I like the idea of this card, but it scares me too. Thinking about Landorus doing 60 to the bench is really bad. Mr. Mime will see some more play, which will reduce the likelihood of this card doing well.
Winona: I think this card is good, but I only think a 2-4 winona Ultra ball is needed in a C deck. You only have 5 (or 8) benched spots in a Rayquaza deck. Considering the amount of pokemon they play to make the deck effective, I don't think an excessive winona count is needed. Also, Ultra helps you get more Shaymins into play.
Wally: Needed and happy its a card in format. Toad may start to struggle against stage 1/2 decks, but its still iffy to me whether this will be good competitive or not.
Double Dragon Energy: I think this card can be good in the right builds. Every dragon themed deck WILL want to run this card in the future.
FA Pokemon: Disappointed, the art sucks outside of Rayquaza and Shaymin.
FA Supporters: Love Winona, Wally meh
SRs: Love VS seeker (it has a tail :p ), Energy Switch meh

Lotta cool stuff in this set, hopefully more good cards come in the english Roaring Skies!

I find that would make the deck a lot more clunky and not allow to get the consistent Double Drag Energy / Mega Turbo + Basic Energy from hand. It is only reliable to use Archie in Flareon and Night March decks at the moment.

I meant Blastoise + DDE. Of course you would run DDE in your deck; I'm saying that Blastoise allows you to use Sonic Ace more often without having to worry about drawing into the DDE. If a deck with as much garbage in it as Flareon can manage consistent Archies, there is no reason why this deck cannot, either.

Flareon doesn't have garbage. It is Pokemon meant to be discarded by compressors, etc. Anyway, I doubt Blastoise would help Mega Latios EX at all. You can just use the 2/3 spots that you would waste on Archie and Blastoise to make the deck faster and pretty much guarantee that Mega Turbo + Basic energy / Double drag energy.

I can see [C] M-Rayquaza pairing well with Propagate Eggsecute.

Who cares if your Skyfield is discarded when all you have to discard are the Eggsecute, which are ready to rock and roll again when you slap down another Skyfield.

Honestly, the number one card that stood out to me as being the most playable/competitive card (besides the obvious ones like M rayquaza EX and M Turbo) was the ancient trait Togekiss. That card could be groundbreaking for energy acceleration, and would be even better with decks using high-energy counts. I feel like Togekiss could fit easily in a lot of decks as well without ruining it. Maybe a 3-1-3 line with some rare candies or something. Also, Togekiss' EVO-Ancient Trait helps get it into play extremely fast. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you could get one into play on your first turn?

If you used Wally for a Togetic and had another way to get a Togekiss, you could get it turn 1.

I'm looking forward to trying Mega Turbo in Gardevoir/Aromatisse. Energy recovery is incredible for that deck and it'll also double as energy acceleration. Seems really good on paper.

Looking more closely at that Togekiss, that makes Swampert and Dark Decks really scary - no matter how late in the match, really. Trump Cards can recycle Energy for both, and - at least in expanded - the Scoop Up Ace Spec can recycle the engine really easily.

I'm really excited for this new set already; the mold's being broken in half.

Trading Post seems to be the most impactful card from the set. This set doesn't seem like it will be as powerful as last few sets. Which I'm ok with. Seems each set lately has completely changed the entire metagame.

I think shedinja will make for some good rogue decks. A possible 500 damage for one energy just can't be ignored by rogue players. Maybe it will even earn a spot on pooka's famous bad deck Mondays.

While everyone has been comparing which Mega Ray is better, I've been sitting here like...

"Wow. Banette is really freaking good."

Sure, Garbodor bypasses it (what am I saying? Garby passes EVERYTHING), but it stops Spirit Links AND Flare Tools! Not only that, but preventing effects from a Muscle Band, Hard Charm, Float Stone, or G Booster makes it incredible. I could theoretically see it as a 1-1 in any Wally-heavy deck.

I could clearly see a deck playing both Reshiram and the Rayquaza - M Rayquaza line with fire and Double Dragon Energies. Seems like the accel that it needs plus fire energy combos well with Battle Compressor + Mega Turbo + Fiery Torch (the fact that they are all items is a huge bonus!) Computer search and Skylas here we come!!! :D
