Best Place Online to Buy?

Hill's Wholesale Gaming has quite a selection, prices for boxes seems average (for new stuff, I'm not experienced enough with older sets).

I like Potomac Distribution for booster boxes. Each box is $90 during Pre-Order and after the set comes out, and they ship 2-3 days prior to release date so that you get your boxes on the release date. They offer free shipping on orders of $150+, which I normally get since I order 2 boxes everytime. They also offer coupons every month, so you can get free stuff with your order. I got some free Premium Toploaders with my Flashfire boxes. I also like that their boxes cost $90 for about 6 months after release date, then only go up in price by like 1 or 2 dollars once the next two sets after that particular set come out. For popular sets like Flashfire, that's a good thing, since I've already seen stores and eBay sellers trying to raise the price to around $100 per booster box.

For singles, I buy only from eBay, and for two reasons that IMO are really important. 1)Card Condition. It's not a secret that eBay tends to side with the buyer almost 100% of the time when there's a dispute, so if you get some cards that are considerably below the described condition, you can always open a Significantly Not as Described Case, and PayPal will almost always refund your money. 2)eBay bucks/coupons. Not sure how many of you are aware of this, but everytime you buy something on eBay (assuming it qualifies for this bonus), eBay gives you back a percentage of the total price you paid. They call this eBay bucks. Basically, if you end up accumulating at least $5 in eBay bucks during a given quarter of the year, they'll e-mail/message you a certificate that you can redeem on anything you want on eBay, once the 1st month of the next quarter comes around. If you buy frequently, you can get a pretty good amount of money back, and I think the max is $200 that they give you. They'll also randomly send you coupons for $x off your next purchase, which can stack up with your eBay bucks certificate for a good amount of saving. Just three days ago, I received my 4th Discount Coupon from them this year. The first was for $5, but my last three have been for $20 off. I currently also have around $30 in eBay bucks, which will be sent to me once this month ends (and I still have 12 days to make that amount grow :D ). Unfortunately, I only have until 6/30 to claim my Coupon, so I won't be able to use both Coupon and eBay bucks simultaneously this time :/
Another good thing about eBay is that you can get a steal every now and then on good cards, but it's a matter of being lucky enough that other bidders/buyers don't see the item you're interested in. Just last week I managed to win a Mint Shinining Charizard for only 40 shipped, and only two other people bid on it, with the starting price being $35.Not bad.

Anyone bought from Hill's Wholesale Gaming?

Hello has anyone bought anything from Hill's Wholesale Gaming?

I'm been reading some reviews and they seem pretty trustworthy, but have anyone here dealt with them?
do they weigh packs or something like that?

Thanks in advance!

UK WOTC booster pack help

Where is the best place to buy wizards of the coast booster packs in the UK? The only place I can find them is on ebay but it is becoming increasingly difficult to find real boosters. Does anybody know of a trusted seller on ebay or any sites that sell them?

RE: UK WOTC booster pack help

The gathering ground maybe.

http://www.gatheringground.com

They claim their packs are not weighed or tampered. I was going to buy some Expedition packs but they jumped up to 500$...

RE: UK WOTC booster pack help

I looked around a while back for reviews and what not about the gathering ground, found out they are also called gaming broke or something like that.
They don't seem to have a very good reputation, can't remember exactly why but I wouldn't buy from them.

I think Professor Oak has the best deals in terms of card price related to card quality. Collectors Cache goes head to head with it in terms of prices, in that it depends on the card for the price (many times Prof. Oak will be cheaper but does not have the card in stock while CC does). Free shipping, always on time, always responds quickly to emails, and great discount deals. Its not official, but I think the more you use the site, the better the discounts you are offered (you get a discount code in every confirmation email). I used to get codes between 6%-12% off, but just got one for 18% off. Great for high priced orders as long as you do your research on the cards price elsewhere.

Hi guys, I'm from Australia and was wondering if anyone knew of any Australian online stores that sell Cards
Personally I've looked but had no luck so was wondering if anyone else knew anything?
Alternatively, what store would you recommend for international purchases (eg America to australia). I've used troll and toad many times and had no issues, but just wondering if there was anything better for international buying?
Thanks in advance!!

You could try Collectors Cache. They ship internationally. They are more expensive than T&T, but nicer cards.

I've heard about Wild's depo (http://www.wildsdepo.com/ ), but their prices are pretty high.

Mighty Ape and The Card House seem like they're worth looking at, and don't neglect Aussie Ebay, too. Since I'm not from Oz, I haven't used any of these sites myself, but they seem decent from what I can find.

Thanks for your help guys! I checked out those sites Athena thanks, they were really expensive.. Haha!! I guess I was looking for an online store that was based in Australia for convenient shipping that would still charge the regular $90-100 for a box. Oh well, there was no harm in trying :)

It seems like Aussieland falls into the same category as Europe in that things are much more expensive than the US to get things locally. Depending on international shipping and customs costs, it might indeed be cheaper to order things from the States and have them shipped, though you'd know that better than me. I only order from Japan and in small quantities these days to make sure I don't ding customs.

I live in Aus too, and don't worry, I have the same issue - for boxes I would go for Dave and Adams Card World - I got a few boxes from there and the shipping was I think $45 or so for UPS express something. I had the order 3 days after I placed the order so that shipping is amazing, and if you wait and get a few items in one order, the shipping isn't actually that much per item.

I've had a look at Collectors Cache and the shipping is astronomical...I don't know what the rate for boxes is, but I wanted 3 tins, total $60, and the cheapest shipping option was $75 or something. The option that I had my DACW order sent by was around $175 on Collectors Cache so I'm not sure why that is.

I just did an order from Hill's Wholesale gaming and they had the USPS First Class international option for packages under 4lbs, which is the slowest and cheapest option. My package was 3.90lbs and it was I think $40ish for shipping but I had my item exactly a week later (but I've heard it can take up to 4 weeks)

So, to summarise (I'm sorry for the essay), if Dave and Adams Card world had the item in stock that I wanted, I would use them. I haven't used Collectors Cache cause the shipping is too steep, but Hill's was pretty good considering they offered the cheaper option.

I buy all my cards/packs/etc from Cool Stuff Inc. As you buy more stuff, you get greater discounts on singles and everything else in the store. After you've spent $5,000 in the store (not all one order, of course, and it doesn't include shipping) you get a 5% discount on general products and a 15% discount on singles.

Haha, I was reading through this thread and thought I was going to be the one guy that uses CoolStuffInc. I really like them because the prices are great and you can get free shipping on any orders of $100+. Funny story, the first time I was ordering from CSI, I goofed something with entering the address, and the customer service was friendly and fast. The only downside is that in most cases, once they are out of stock on something, it pretty much stays out of stock unless it's like the most recent set or something.

Whenever that happens, I end up going over to eBay for the chance at getting an awesome price from an auction or just an already low price+free shipping often times. I'm mostly a player though, only collecting little groups of cards that go nicely together in a binder section, so price is the main factor for me.

When first truly getting into competitive play only about 6 months ago, Troll&Toad was the first site I had heard of and I looked up a fairly cheap deck that I thought had some cool-looking cards (Klingklang), then ordered the cards. The way they packaged the cards just against each other in a paper envelope didn't appeal to me very much, so I tried ordering some packs a few weeks later of some mostly HGSS sets along with something else that I don't remember. Yeah... one of the packs had some kind of cut on the side which dug into all the cards, not to mention each of the packs were curved.

That's just my experiences, hopefully they helped! :)
