I think better. The sets are smaller. There are no rares, just rare holos. I normally come up 1 or 2 rare holos short.( not counting hidden cards) I am missing only 12 cards on a second set of BW7. The quality is better.

Yes, I prefer the quality of Japanese cards as well. In a box, I usually complete the whole set as far as commons and uncommon s are concerned. Usually only short a few rares... It's the ultra rares (full arts and the like) that become hard to get.

The pull rates for Ultra rares are still better thought.. A japanese booster box is 100 cards with equals 10 packs except they have 5 cards per packs now. So in those "10 packs" you usually get at least 3 Ultra rares, sometimes more. I think japanese players have harder to pull trainers (but then again, their theme decks usually have amazing trainers ;___; )
Also, its just the BW booster boxes that only have 100 cards. I believe the oldes japanese booster boxes have like 60 boosters with 10 cards in every booster pack?

Yeah, as others have said, Poly_100 is probably the best person for already-released BW Japanese cards; even with his high shipping costs, you get good, reliable service.
For new boxes (as in, BW8 and forward), I do take orders, as omahanime said. My prices are better than those of eBay, so contact me if you are still interested.
As for pull rates, the holo pull rate in BW series Japanese boxes is 1 holo for every 2 packs. So per box, there are generally 10 holo cards.
In terms of box contents, BW-series boxes contain 20 packs with 5 cards each, with the exception of Dragon Selection and Shiny Collection, which have 15 booster packs per box. Pre-BW series, boxes had 20 packs with 11 cards each. For the earliest sets (I believe Neo and before), boxes had 60 packs with 10 cards per pack, as Videoland stated above.
I definitely recommend collecting Japanese. The cards are of a better quality, and you get better pull rates. I have been collecting Japanese cards since DP, and have since backtracked to get mostly everything from VS series onwards.

I bought 4 Dragon Blade boxes, got 3 full arts and one shiny. I think it was.. Ho-oh, Registeel and Rayquaza. And the shiny was Krookodile. So really good rates and each box had 10 holos although you will get duplicates. My personal problem is that I don't like the Japanese holos, not really digging the holos all over the border or the gray color. And I just buy boxes for the full arts or shiny's but... shiny's and full arts cost just as much as a box does so I might as well just buy the single instead of a box of cards I don't want. I also like the English EX's better because the foil does not glare the entire card.
But if you like holo borders like the Ace Spec's have, don't like reverse holos you'd be crazy not to buy Japanese boxes.
And I also get my boxes from poly_100. I tried someone else cause shipping was free and it came damaged and missing in my mail box >_> also took forever to arrive. Got my money back cause it was insured but waiting for a month and only to find it didn't arrive... lame. I ordered from poly 100 immediately I got my money back and it arrived in 5 business days. What. Crazy...
Pokevault.com has some nice stuff too but shipping is kinda pricey and his ultra rares are REALLY pricey... but a really good website to buy JP singles holos.
PS: I did buy Hail Blizzard and Psycho Drive from poly 100. I got a shiny Zoroark but the Hail Blizzard only gave me 3 EX's and no ultra rares. I think the ratio is 2 EX's one ultra rare or 3 EX's no super rares.

Paper Moon is another fine source. There prices have been creeping up.
