Pokemon:22
4 Spiritomb 10/102 (TR)
3-3 Mandibuzz 68/98 (EP)-79/114 (BW)
3-2-3 Gengar Prime 63/102(TR)-35/102(TR)-94/102(TR)
2-2 Darkrai & Cresselia Legend 99/102(TR)-100/102(TR)
T/S/S:23
3 Pokemon Communication 99/114 (BW)
2 Junk Arm 87/102 (TR)
2 Rare Candy 88/100 (Ex Sandstorm)
3 Pokemon Collector 97/123 (HGSS)
4 Professor Oak's New Theory 101/123 (HGSS)
3 Professor Juniper 101/114 (BW)
3 Twins 89/102 (TR)
3 Lost World 81/95 (CoL)
Energy:15
4 Darkness
7 Psychic
2 Sp Darkness
2 Double Colorless

So the idea behind the deck is to start of with Spiritomb and spread damage to my opponent's pokemon that can evolve. Then use mandibuzz to get with in 40 damage of KO'ing them and then Lost Zone the pokemon with Gengar's Curse Doppings and get out Lost World for Victory. DCL is there to move damage or to place a large amount of damage. Let me know what to add or take away.

Are you allowed to use rare candy from any set in sanctioned events??

Yes, but all Rare Candy follow the new Rare Candy text, where you can't use it on a Pokemon that just came into play. You can find a list of usable cards here.

Lol. Curse Droppings. Sounds like ghost poop.

Anyway, this idea rules. I was trying to think of some sort of hit and run/cursegar like approach to knock something out with someone other than Gengar and then bring Gengar active to use his Catastrophe body, but I have no idea why I didn't think of spread + cursed drops.

What is your justification for 4 basic and 2 special darks instead of the other way around? It's a minor difference but it could matter.

I also think Solrock + Lunatone would be helpful/almost necessary, because one max potion can take your 4 "prizes" to 3 and screw you up big time. I would also try to max Twins if you can find the room, since you'll never be taking prizes.

I'm gonna build this online like, now. So I'll let you know how it goes.

I also think your strategy should be a little differenct. Spreading with Mandibuzz and then using DCL to get 4+ within 10 of the KO is ideal. Then next turn you Cursed Drops and send 4+ to the LZ.

Thanks for the ideas the reason for 4 basic and 2 sp Darkness is because most of the time I'll be sniping the bench instead of the active. As for my strategy my first thought was against Tyram where I try and get 2 Typhlosions in the last zone because they can get set up pretty fast, but your stategy would work against stage 1s or even ZPST. Please let me know how the online testing went.

That makes sense, but using a Sp. Dark and hitting anything other than active has zero negative effects, but if you ever want to use Punishment or DCL's other attacks the Sp. Dark will come in handy. So basically, there's no reason not to run 4 Sp. 2 Basic.

The TyRam strategy sounds solid. They about die when you get two Typhlosions into the discard, but if you get 2 fully evolved Typhlo's into the LZ, you literally win the game, lol.

As far as testing, I had a lot of trouble getting the Spiritomb, then Mandibuzz, then DCL, then Gengar combo off. It's just a lot of working parts. I removed the 4 Spiritomb, added 4 Mews, and just used Cursed Drops to spread, then Mandibuzz, then DCL, then put Mew/Gengar back up to finish the job. It still ran pretty clunky but I think Cursed Drops, albeit slightly slower, is way more efficient for spreading for Mandibuzz. I'm still working on it but I'll keep you posted.
