My birthdays coming up in about a month and my parents have already asked for what i want but the problem is i dont know.

Im 12 and into gaming and tcg's however i have not recently played the pokemon tcg.

so far i have on my list:
HGSS Meganium theme deck
Monster hunter tri

What other things would be good?

Do you have any staples if not I would recommend getting those. Or just plain money in general

Uh, money so then you can spend it on all you want. 23 April is when the awesome monster hunter tri coming out, apart from that I can't suggest anything. Tell me what games you have and haven't got and I'll shoot you with some.

Agreed, go for money instead. I don't know about Monster Hunter, so I won't comment on that. For the Meganium theme deck, unless you are getting it for collection I highly recommend you don't get it. In competitive play, Meganium isn't really all too good. Being a theme deck as well, you really want pull anything super-rare.

With money, you are more free to spend on something that you'll want in the future. And maybe even HGSS.

Thankyou for the recamendations. BTW gliscor if I was looking for a pack to get me started in the tcg what would be best? and the problem with money is that my parents dont like getting me it as it doesnt really feel like ive got something on the day (they say it kinda takes away the birthday atmosphere)

This is currently unknown, as If your just starting in the TCG, you should wait for the rotation to see which sets will be allowed next year (starts fall). All HS sets WILL be in, thats for sure, but we dont know if any DP or PLAT sets will be allowed in tournaments.

I recommend the money or the deck, but thats because i never heard of monster hunter 3.

Nerf guns are fun to play with, especially if you have siblings. Either that or video games. Also, when I got an air hockey table, I had tons of fun playing with that.

I've realized that one of the best things you can do is ask for a surprise! Your parents know you very well, of course, and if they're tapped in to your interests as well, they will get you something they believe you'll like.

Of course, ask for what you want if you want to be safe. But; why not go for it? I suppose sometimes it's a miss, but that's the balance that keeps life interesting. :D

^Thanks for the completely useless post Danny. :)

Honestly, I'd recommend asking for a donation be made in your name to your favorite charity (or one that you think is important). This will earn you much respect among colleagues and family members. Remember, birthdays are useless ;P They're just another day. Try to make a difference for someone else if family/friends insist on celebrating a pointless day.

Uh, get a gigantic Meganium plushie and then you will never need any more birthday presents.

or
-Mario Galaxy
-Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
-Gamecube memory card
- LoZ:Wind Waker
-Little King's Story
-Metroid Prime Trilogy

^ They're all the good Wii games I could come to think of.

Most of importantly remember what birthdays are all about, the birth of yourself and you must respect the lord and thank him.

I was thinking about that but I already have a ds light and im not sure how much id use the extra features.

I wouldn't buy the DSi XL, just buy thee DSi. The resolution on the new screen isn't as good apparently, the menu is messy aswell. Is it really worth it?

Most of the extra features cost money and need internet, if I remember rightly I think you said that you can not get internet on your DS because of your wireless router.

Yer i have the faster WAP internet installer as opposed to the standard WEP however dsi can connect to both.
