A blog comment by storyboard writer Takahashi has revealed information on the newest Pokémon anime: Black and White. Both Takeshi (Brock) and Hikari (Dawn) will be left behind, according to the animator. Only the first three episodes were said to have been filmed, so it is impossible to speak for future episodes of the Black and White anime beyond that point.

A translation of the blog post is provided below:
“ Finally, filming Pokémon has begun!

It was three episodes of the new series, but it looks like the heroine isn't the main girl from the games.

I went "Huh!?" when I saw the character chart last time, but it really looks like the heroine is an original child. It appears that Takeshi (Brock) isn't in it, and a new rival character who is similar to Shinji (Paul) is in it too.

By the way, the heroine is cute but amazing... her hair style is pretty.


So, that's that.


It states that the Rival is similar to Paul, which means that the B/W Rival could be based of Paul. I'm also quite disappointed that they didn't get rid of Ash, as Isshu is 'far away' and they could have started a whole new thing with the B/W (fe)male protoganists, which would've opened so much new possibilities.

I feel that not getting rid of Ash was a good idea.
You lose him and you lose a lot. I personally think that watching the series since it began, I have seen Satoshi grow much more mature. If they were to cut Ash, Pokemon would be ruined, that is what Pokemon Chronicles is for.
 
Where is the source of your information?

You're obviously treating us into believing your fantasy story.
There has never been a blog. You haven't edited your post either, so how could the ''UPDATE: The blog has since been taken down.'' be in your post? Unless it was there from the beginning, which is assumable since your post is only 30 minutes old.

And yes we can see you haven't edited your post. If you take a look below here you'll notice the ''(This post was last modified: Today 08:19 PM by Pokequaza.)''. This because I edited my post. Since it's clearly not in your post it confirms you're lying.

Well this can be false still. But I'm starting to believe you only a little. Why would they put it on their blog and then take it off. That is weird.
 
If this is true, they got rid of Brock! The one reason I watch the show!
I think that they may bring Brock back during the 2nd season of the region. And, Ash will always stay, no matter what. That is what keeps kids watching the show. I just hope that the new female trainer is good. I am tired of the same plot for them regarding contests!
 
If they don't show Ash in the series then some kids might stop watching it. I hope that they stop doing these contests in the next series. Contests to me are cool to watch but they can get really boring sometimes.
 
Losing ash would make Pokemon lose so much money, (sadly) and no matter how much I want it to happen, it wont.
 
Pokemon shouldn't lose Ash, he's too iconic. Losing Brock would be sad, but semi-neccessary. He's been around too long, he needs to move on.(And find a girl who accepts him) Losing Dawn seems right. They seem to rotate the female character every year, with the exclusion of Misty, as she was around for a while. I dunno. I don't know if this is true or not, but it seems legit.
 
I was thinking they would have a new character instead of Ash, maybe his son. He is 17 in the DP anime so they could skip ahead a few years.
 
I think that Brock going is a very sad occasion ;_;.

I have a weird idea that the Female trainer could do something along the lines of Pokeathlon instead of contests.
 
Brock is leaving o_O that is, amazing, how are they going to replace them is what's bothering me..
 
Brock left before Hoenn but then came back after a few episodes of the Season. I think/hope that could happen again.

Brock also left and was gone most of season 2, remember that? Maybe it will happen again...
 
I don't want Brock to leave permanently, probably for a few episodes or even a season is fine. But to me he is an awesome character.
