Pokemon:

  • 3-1-3 Blaziken (Furious Fists)
    3-3 Raichu (X/Y)
    3 Kangaskhan (Plasma Blast)
    1 Seismitoad EX (Furious Fists)
Trainers/Supporters/Stadiums:

  • 4 Skyla
    4 Rare Candy
    4 Blacksmith
    4 Fiery Torch
    3 Professor Sycamore
    3 Silver Bangle
    2 Lysandre
    2 Pal Pad
    2 Super Rod
    1 Scramble Switch
Energy:

  • 10 Fire
    4 DCE
Strategy:

You want to setup Blaziken with DCE while using Blacksmith to attach Fire energies to your Blaziken's by discarding them through Fiery Torch for drawpower. Raichu is in here as a secondary attacker for Circle Circuit and Kangaskhan helps for bench setup with Call for Family over running Ultra Ball and Level Ball in here. Seismitoad EX is for Item Lock with DCE especially If you open the game with it on 1st turn, but only use it when you have to.

I took Startling Megaphone out due to Blaziken being able to bench snipe Garbodor for 150 If I manage to get my setup going while Raichu helps counter against Yveltal EX, Lugia EX, Butterfree, and Empoleon. I don't have a counter for Blastoise/Keldeo so I thought about running Druddigon for dealing with Black Kyurem EX with Black Ballista or an effective Grass Type that's a Basic that has colorless in it's attack cost. Battle Reporter is a new Supporter that says you draw cards equal to your opponent's hand size so it's Copycat without having to shuffle your hand back in to play it.

Comments, suggestions, and/or advice is greatly appreciated! :)

Blaziken - Fire - HP140
Stage 2 - Evolves from Combusken

[C][C] Eagle Grip: 50 damage. The Defending Pokemon can’t retreat during your opponent’s next turn.
[R][R][C][C] Burning Shoot: Discard 2 Energy attached to this Pokemon, then choose 1 of your opponent’s Pokemon and do 150 damage to that Pokemon. (Don’t apply Weakness and Resistance when damaging the Bench).

Weakness: Water (x2)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 2

I had been thinking about this 150 damage snipe is pretty good, the biggest damper is of course, you loos 2 energy and there is Mr. Mime in stadium form being released with blaziken. you might want to look into 1-2 Training stadium, for a counter stadium as well as giving your Stage 2 +30 HP :)

Training Stadium might be good especially If I go against someone running Shadow Circle with Seismitoad EX and Garbodor to get around Grass Weakness. If Mountain Ring (Mr. Mime in Stadium form) is in play I guess I could still rely on Lysandre to bring stuff up without having to bench snipe.

As for what Seismitoad EX does -

Seismitoad-EX - Water - HP180
Basic Pokemon

[C][C] Goo Punch: 30 damage. During your opponent's next turn, they cannot play Item cards from their hand.
[W][W][C]: Grenade Hammer: 130 damage. This attack does 30 damage to two of your Benched Pokemon.

When a Pokemon-EX has been Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

Weakness: Grass (x2)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 3

Battle Reporter seems bad. Sometimes you just need to refresh your hand and Battle Reporter wont help you do that. Since as you said, you dont have to shuffle your hand.

N, Sycamore, and Shauna is still the best bet for draw support. If you are going to use Battle Reporter. Bianca is probably just better, since its always 6 cards instead of maybe 1 or 2. The only time their hand will be big is after a tropical beach, or a colress that for some reason they didnt grab anything useful.

If you are going to use blacksmith. I suggest using 3 or 4 Ultra Ball. This helps you get energy into the discard to Black Smith.

Maybe take 3 Kangaskhan out for 3 Ultra Ball then? It's risky considering that Kangaskhan helps fill my bench up to fuel Raichu's Circle Circuit attack and is solid for opening the game with aside from Seismitoad EX and DCE for 1st turn Item Lock. I'm thinking about running a full playset of Blacksmith in here however Pal Pad helps for when I need to reuse it later just like with Lysandre unless I get Item Locked myself.

Perhaps I could run Juniper/Sycamore over Battle Reporter in here to help discard fire energies for Blacksmith to attach energies onto Blaziken, but then I risk discarding resources that could cost me a game. N would be the best bet but it's more of a disruptive card than solid draw even though it's practically a playset staple in every deck. I think I'll go with Juniper/Sycamore over Battle Reporter in here.

In a deck that i put together recently on the PTCGO that used blacksmith. I used 2 Juniper, 4 N, 2 Skyla, and 3 Roller Skates, and 3 Fiery Torch for my draw cards.

I used 4 Juniper at one point and i tended to deck myself out. After the change it never happened again and it still will work out.

In all reality garbador dosent hurt your deck. None of your pokemon have abilities so when doing the bench damage i would focuss more on a bigger threat. I would also consider running garbador yourself, it would help you against some decks. Skyla will probably get rotated so you should put korina in instead. Super rod will probably get rotated as well so you could probably switch those with sacred ash.

Hmm, Bicycle would probably be better than Roller Skates since If you have less cards in hand you can draw up to 4. Aside from that what you posted is a solid Trainer/Supporter lineup IMO. I know Charizard runs a similar engine that you suggested which I assume is what you tested on PTCGO, I just don't like the idea of Charizard as a Big Basic when it was better as a Stage 2 from Platinum: Arceus in the DPP Era. It had an amazing draw engine with Ninetales and Typhlosion Prime which enabled you to attach energies to Charizard at the cost of a damage counter.

Sacred Ash might actually work out well for this deck better than Super Rod considering that I'm mainly utilizing my discard pile as a resource to attach fire energies onto my Blaziken's with Blacksmith which also works out great for Raichu since it only uses DCE for Circle Circuit anyway. I suppose when I play Korrina in this deck I could just fail to find the Fighting Type Pokemon to go get Rare Candy due to my deck being private knowledge but I still think it's cheating though, Garbodor I might consider running however it's mainly used with Float Stone to get around Lysandre and Catcher and I think I'm good with Silver Bangle/Muscle Band for the Pokemon Tools I run in this deck.

Well for the TCGO, Roller Skates work really well. Cause for some reason like 70%ish of my rolls are heads. So Rollerskates almost always work. I only had it fail once. Bicycle i dont really like in decks with stuff that can get stuck in your hand.

I guess I can test Roller Skates out over Bicycle, it's no different from when Dual Ball and Super Scoop Up was tournament legal.

I like what you're doing here. A whole lot, it looks really fun. Kangaskhan is slow, but I see how it is very helpful for setting up. What I think will work very, very well is the training stadium. I would run 2-3. I don't think scramble switch is necessary in here, you'll be discarding anyway. The Seismitoad EX would just get in the way here, I feel. Also, it seems like a good idea to maybe tech 1-1 Pyroar line or something like that, it can literally just win you some match-ups if you drop it at the right time. These are my personal suggestions:

-1 Kangaskhan 1
-1 Seismitoad EX 2
-1 Scramble Switch 3
-1 Blacksmith 4
-1 Fire 5

+3 Ultra Ball 3
+1 Dowsing Machine 4
+2 Training Stadium 5
+1 Litleo 6
+1 Pyroar 7

Now allow me to explain. You will notice there are 2 cards that are excess here. It is because space is incredibly tight, and there's still cards I would like to fit in. The 1-1 Pyroar line can just auto-win you matches.. The Pyroar can really just give you time to set up against fast basic decks. 4 Blacksmith will just clog your deck like footwear in the Netherlands.

The other cards I wanted to try to add are:

Another 1-1-1 Blaziken (without it, they'll be so difficult to stream).
Another 1-1 Pyroar (It'll be tough to get the 1-1 out, to put this in, you'd have to take out a 1-1 Raichu)

Now you need to take out 2 more cards, so here's the options:
1 Skyla
1 Pal Pad
1 Super Rod
1 Lysandre

That really is a personal call, I'd take out the Skyla and then one more thing. Personally, I would also go with the 2-2/2-2 Pyroar/Raichu split, but that is, again, personal preference. I hope this helps, when you reply we can discuss this some more, I really love this idea.

Guys, can I ask why you're using Kangaskhan when the new Dedenne does the same and is a passive counter to Yveltal/Lugia? Kangaskhan does have higher HP, but the retreat cost really hurts since you don't have any energy acceleration .

Ekans has a good point -- I noticed that this even is a post-FF (oh man, that's yet another set abbreviated as "FF") deck, so yeah, you guys should definitely put that in.

In fact, I wonder how popular Yveltal and whatnot will still be with such a passive, splashable counter...

ooh wow i just read that static spark attack, that u can see being teched into just about every deck, if yveltal is still played. yeah I would for sure chang kanguskhan for Dedenne

I'll look into taking Kangaskhan out for Dedenne, as for what OblivionDvdr pointed out I mainly had Scramble Switch in here to recycle my DCE attachments and the Pyroar tech I feel would just get countered by Garbodor If they have Mr. Mime on bench or Mountain Ring in play which seems unlikely since Beach and Virbank are still the go to Stadiums of choice in the current format. If I do decide to run Pyroar, Blaziken would help ease the VirGen matchup unless they run Shadow Circle to get around Weakness.

Since Dedenne helps against Yveltal EX, Lugia EX, and even Empoleon aside from early game setup with Call for Family should I consider running Leafeon (Plasma Freeze) over Raichu incase I go up against Seismitoad EX? Leafeon would help save DCE attachments for Blaziken so that could be a plus. I'm not sold on Training Stadium while it's a nice option for countering against Beach or Virbank aside from increasing the HP on my Stage 1 and Stage 2 Evolutions I feel like it's a waste of valuable deck space.

Honestly there is a easy way to counter anything/

To be honest you should add:

x2 iris

x2 charizard EX combustion blast

x4 muscle bands

Single bangles are kind of worse because many decks now can run without EX's.

So muscle bans can go for OHKO on yveltals, keldeos, even though the weakness. On genesect decks this deck wrecks

Umm... Skyla isn't getting rotated out. The rotation is BCR-on for the upcoming season.

Yeah i wrote this back before the format was announced. I assumed skyla along with Boundries crossed was getting rotated out.

This Thread got Necroed, but oh well... Beach is getting rotated out this September unless it is given as prize this years Worlds, which I am hope it doesn't.

Also, I will be running Mountain Ring myself and many new decks will run the Fighting stadium... Virbank will be less used after Furious Fist is out.
