don't forget vileplume boxes in your decks.

1 virizion nvi + eviolite + plus power = 1hko anything in blastoise keldeo. and it is a 2 for 1 prize exchange on keldeo. and you are tanking 40 damage.
vileplume if needed to be used for attack can also 1hko a blastoise, it takes 6 energies for a keldeo to 1hko a vileplume.

vileplume boxes will be the death of blastoise. you just have to be a smart player and realize that the deck is nothing without blastoise, as are eel decks.you take out the most important ingredient in the deck and you take out the deck. if you can successfully 1 hit 1-2 blastoise think about how far behind the deck is. it would have to get out, or super rod back and try to pull out another stage 2 card. the resources required are outrageous.
Vileplume is catcher bait. If they catcher KO it, you can't attack and lose. Blastoise Keldeo will kill itself, it doesn't need the help of other decks.

like i said you will need 6 energies on a keldeo to 1 hit a vileplume...
let me know how that goes for you. a vileplume box will run darkrai im sure, so attach 1 dark energy after you DON'T ko it. and retreat for free, and go back to what i was doing... 1 hitting all your pokemon with my virizion OR a shaymin EX.

if blastoise keldeo was sooooo good, why wasn't emboar/reshiram soooo good? same concept but with the step in ability, which can easily be worked around.

RE: Boundaries Crossed - post 11 for checklist

First of all, Reshi is fire, meaning it beats up only grass, and keldeo is twice as damage dealing as reshiram and the ability makes it much better.

Before the latest news, the poll had 25 on favour for it being a good set and 0 with bad. Now it still has 25 on good and 6 on bad.
The news really changed people's minds.

That's not even considering most people probably voted in the poll expecting certain cards to be in the set and have now changed their minds. I wonder if some of the people who initially voted would change their minds if the poll was redone.

dmaster out.

Because Reshiram did 120 for 3 tops and had to discard two energy. Keldeo does 110 for three, but it can get to extreme amounts with the correct amount of energy. Keldeo has 170 hp, meaning it can use SSU amazingly. Step in is actually very big, as it prevents catcher stalling. Squirtle cannot be sniped, which is huge but overlooked by a lot of players. This is also a format where stage 2 decks can actually thrive, which is a big difference. Personally, through extensive testing I know exactly how to beat it, but it's not bad and might be a good choice week one of cities in a place where people are still trying to figure out the meta. It's a judgement call though. I will say this-anyone who says Ho-oh can beat Blastoise/Keldeo is wrong.

110 + infinite is completely different then 120 + discard or 150 with drawback.

That, combined with new ways to get those Blastoise going like Skyla and Computer search is what makes Blastoise/Keldeo "soooooo good." The ability only adds to it, preventing status lock and preventing catcher stalling of any kind. It also saves deck space because switch doesn't need to be included, and since one of the reasons Emboar wasn't good is because it didn't have enough space, this helps immensly.

....past that, discussion of decks is silly. I've done a bunch of testing already with Keldeo so I know it's at least decent, but besides that, there is NO way to know if anything is good or bad, so don't overhype decks and don't underhype them either.

Anyway, about the set itself, the only card I'm really upset that they took out is Ether. It makes nearly ANYTHING workable. Someone legitimately played Quad Giratina with Ether + Pokedex in Japan. It's a card that would diversify the metagame a lot (It also creates more donk situations and makes it so going first is even more of advantage, but I think the positives it brings outweigh the negatives.)

^ Wooooow.
That gold border looks good.
The only bad thing about it is the chance of pulling it is about 1/100
149 is just too much.

Has anyone seen an English Bellossom yet? I really want to know if this one is legal.

yep Bellossom is in this set.

It would be the one in the Theme Deck, there's no way there's more than the two (well, and a full-art) Black Kyurem cards (regular and EX) in the set. I wonder what the Theme Decks will be like. I expect one (probably the White Kyurem one) will probably be similar to DragonSpeed and Raiders in that it only barely includes one of the represented types (Fire in this case, Fighting and Psychic, respectively, in the other ones) and focuses mostly on the other (in this case Water). Unless they try and include Emboar and Samurott or Charizard and Blastoise. (Actually, that could happen.) Hmm... I expect these will be the first Theme Decks since Blue Assault that lack Pokemon Communication. (I expect the inclusion of Pokeball, Switch, etc. in the set are partly so they didn't need to include Black/White cards in Theme Decks anymore, thus making these decks completely legal in the next rotation.) Speculation is fun!

The two parts I'm the most shaky about are the gaps between Scolipede/Sandshrew and Skarmory/the Dragon-types. They didn't cut any three-stage Psychic lines, so maybe it's the two Goth cards from National Beginning Set along with Meloetta, who I hope will be in Boundaries Crossed. Perhaps 99 could be the Dragon-type BW-P Haxorus promo, which bumps Vibrava and Flygon up to 97 and 98, with 96 being the Klink from the Keldeo Deck? Definite cuts from Cold Flare/Freeze Bolt are Sewaddle, Combee, Whismur, Timburr, Lunatone, Solrock and Swinub's lines along with the four infamous Trainer cards and one of Joltik/Galvantula or Blitzle/Zebstrika.

My checklist at post 11 has been updated. It only shows proven data.
