I also will consider leaving and going to a different pokemon forum site that has a trading thread. I have no idea why it was removed

I have made temporary Trade Now threads in fifth and fourth generation casual forums.

I was talking about how none of you are even giving good reasons why it should be back. Instead, you're all complaining and not coming up with good reasons why it should be brought back.

Sorry for being so negative, but you guys are honestly not even trying. The only thing you guys have done is start a petition, post multiple threads in forums where they don't belong, and complain. At least come up with some reasons why it should be brought back that are not opinions.
 
I guess I will sign the petition. And I can give reasons why it's good to have it.

-There's really no other place to trade. There's not that many people that go on chat, and even in a "Trade Now" thread you aren't able to keep a full list of what you have.
-Many members liked it, as you can see from this thread.
-The change was not announced. They had no time to save any data, and so everything was just lost
-It's a great way for people to get to know each other
-The VG section needs some place to do trades. Trades are common/popular, and the VGC's are also coming up. People will want to trade with other people in order to build their teams
 
I can also give some:

-Like Steadfast said,there arent any people on the Trade Chat.
-Other forums have Trade threads,but many people on other forums are REALLY mean.I actually find most of the people on here to be REALLY nice
-Its really good to find lots of events and shinies that you cant get because you live somewhere where there NEVER are events (Me living on México,anyone?)

I'll post my reasons.

-I had no time to save my master posts, which are different here than the ones I use on other sites.
-I had no time to record my CURRENT trades, so any trades I have will need to wait.
-Living in Canada, I don't have many events near me (And living in a town in the center of no-where doesn't help), so I MUST trade for them.
-The VGC is coming up soon, and with a whole new set of rules. This means that I'm going to be trading to get the pokemon I want / need easier.
-I lost like 300 posts from there. This isn't major, but it's something I'm irked about.
-One Master "Trade Thread" doesn't really work. Your post gets lost, and it's hard to seperate all the trades.
-This site has nicer traders, but I have no problems going to another site and living with the members there.
-It Obviously had MANY members wanting it (As seen in this thread)

I do agree with you all in that it was very silly not to have pre-warned the Traders. I never traded, but I don't really see the point in banning it, considering no one behind the action has spoken yet. I would like to point out, however, that only two of the several members who signed the petition have good reasons that they have expressed.
Also, don't PM people at random. I myself would be pretty angry if I was randomly selected to be asked to sign a petition, and would definitely report it for spam.
I would also like to point out that a petition doesn't mean that much on the Forums. It's not a democracy. Even with 1,000 signatures, the mods and WPM decide what happens in the end.

I really don't want to repeat what's already been said. It appears that it had a large community and many people liked it, so I'll sign your petition if it makes people more happy.

Edit: 6-D has a point; your petition is kinda useless.
 
TDL, I was mainly asking because you come along and say it has no point without reasons, and you go ahead and post without reasons.
 
Part of what you said is true. However, would someone keep the change if 1000 members were unhappy or possibly left? The members ARE what make a forum, so they do have some influence. The biggest influence right now is probably just this thread alone with everyone's posts.
 
The pokemon video game trading is one of the only reasons I'm part of this forum and the same goes with others as well. I really don't get into things like trading cards over the mail system because of the great risk involved and with video game trading I can just trade to collect or if I'm looking for that one specific pokemon to complete my pokedex, I can't get it on the GTS because of all the ridiculous offers and I'm not willing to pay a Dialga for a bidoof. In all its problems, most of those can be addressed by simply changing the rules but if things are not changed members like xxashxx who specialize in trading may leave and lets face it, without members a forum is nothing.

Edit: @ Lil I actually typed the majority of the thread up just P99 manages the thread we have here, that was actually a copy from my thread on sunrise that I share with P99
 
However, I'm in the process of changing the WHOLE thread to include IV's, moves and stuff, but I don't want to do that if there is a risk the forum might get closed.
