If you have Broken Time-Space in play, can you evolve the same Pokémon twice in one turn?

This is some what wrong. You don't HAVE to lay down the basic in order to get the effect of BTS, but you can. You can also have a Machop T1 and then play the BTS and next turn play the Machoke to get Machamp.
