Strategy
You'll almost always start out with a Sigilyph, Latias Ex or a Sableye. Sigilyph Is immune to attacks from most Ex Pokemon. Latias Ex is immune to attacks from pokemon with abilities, and also has an attack that causes its 70 damage no matter a pokemon's ability, weakness or resistance. Sableye's Junk Hunt allows you to stall with Crushing Hammer and Hypnotoxic Laser, or it lets you use Tool Scrapper more than once without having to have multiples in case you don't need one at all. Spiritomb's Sealing Scream ability prevents both players from playing any Ace Spec cards, which keeps Genesect Ex's G-Booster and G-Scope from bypassing Sigilyph's Safeguard ability. Spiritomb's Hexed Mirror which shuffles your hand into your deck and draws as many cards as the opponent has, is my favorite way to deal with Tropical Beach. Play Shadow Circle to counter Tropical Beach, but still get fill your hand at the end of your turn. Mr. Mime, Darkrai Ex and Virizion Ex are all pretty much bench warmers. Mr. Mime keeps the bench safe from taking damage with his Bench Barrier ability. Darkrai's ability gets rid of your retreat cost, so long as they have a blend or a prism energy attached. And Virizion Ex's ability keeps Sigilyph and Latias Ex safe from status changes while they switch back and forth between Ex Pokemon and Stage 2 & 3 pokemon with abilities like Emboar or Garchomp. Muscle Band is usually used on Latias Ex, but also on Sableye and Darkrai, while Silver Mirror, which provides immunity to Team Plasma Pokemon is used on Sigilyph, Spiritomb and also Sableye. Cassius works great at cleaning out a space on your bench when you finally pull Mr. Mime or Virizion Ex, and he has saved me from losing the game a time or two as well. Without Random Receiver this decks draw power is pretty weak. Anyway, the strategy is to be immune to everything your opponents tries, while you chisel away at his Emboar/Rayquaza or Super Team Plasma deck. I think this deck will also do great against Pyroar's ability which makes the card immune to attacks from Basic pokemon. Latias Ex is immune too Pyroar's attacks, and Latias' attack also ignores Pyroar's ability. I am thinking of finding room for Pyroar in this deck, but I want to keep at least one Sigilyph for Mega Evolutions. Pyroar and Latias Ex ain't got nothin' on a M-Charizard X or a M-Blastoise. I could see the deck working without Sableye, but I really like having a Spiritomb for those pesky Genesect Ex decks.
