Well, my wife and I have been sitting around trying to figure out what to play. Thankfully, She's got her potential plays down to two. She's looking at either playing Empoleon or Zoroark. Which one do you think would be better to play once we rotate and have Dragons Exalted (not Cold Flare)?

Also, I'm looking to find a budget deck can take to Battle Roads come September and do reasonably well with. Not necessarily top, but at least be able to play consistently. I did like my VVV deck, but since I lose trainer lock and a good chunk of my supporter line, it's not really viable. Maybe something in the same spirit?
 
Well, you can play Darkrai/Hydreigon, with the Darkrai's coming in tins, this would keep a good budget deck. I'd also suggest Zekeels, as 2 theme decks give you the basic skeleton of the deck.

I guess Amoonguss/Ninetales/Dustox could work... Just like the Houndoom/Leafeon/Amoonguss deck worked.

Try Terrakion (NV) buy the cards as singles (just the 4 Terraion) and ta-da! You have a highly competitive deck that cost hardly anything :)
 
I would maybe do darkrai hydreigon but my brs is sept 8 and the tins cOme out like the 23rd so I'm just going all out to build a alchomp deck
 
My Battle Roads is September 1st (first day of a new format, YAY!), so I'm kind of on a clock as far as testing and buying. The really bad thing is I also have to find a deck for my best friend to play. Might have him look into Quad-something or other...
 
empoleon all da way. if u want a good deck that costs nothing try quad terrakion with revives cause its hard for your opponent to take prize cards sice u only run 4 pokemon
