I think we should all consider the possibility of a reprinting of Claydol GE.

That possibility has been carefully examined and, for the most part, rejected - the meta is gradually getting slower, and Claydol would make it faster...opposite goals. A Claydol reprint is really nothing more than wishful thinking, my friend.

The slow format really gives newer players a chance to get into the game and reprinting claydol would totally defeat the purpose

Scizor you have the advantage of both. claydol for energies then use magnezone to get more. Lost gar isnt a stage 2 deck with mew.

^@catutuie, you don't get as much advantage with either one for the space once you run both Magnezone and Claydol. Magnezone's Power becomes fairly obsolete. And you'll notice I did say "(unless it's MewGar)" in my post, as many people are going to play straight LostGar.

if they did and gave SPs the opportunity to dominate for 4 seasons, i'd be annoyed tbh.

i want a new metagame not one that revolves around which card goes best w/ lux x(luxape, luxbox, blazeray,luxsol, luxchomp etc.)

so i want an HGSS-on rotation but idk if it will happen.

I guess but i still think a 3-3 claydol and 2-2-2 magnezone would work beautifully

i also want it to be HGSS on so that the match isnt over T2. there is no stratagy its just oh T2 im set up BOOM BOOM BOOM i win. i remember that i used to use the base set cards against my friends and the battles took forever but they were always close and you had to think...i wish it would go back to that type of play...OH WAIT IT IS!!!

i semi disagree w/ that b/c haymaker tended to stop that.
also just gonna put this out there that if it's hgss we NEED a good dark pokemon. period. just for gengar. or there won't be "thinking", not to mention no rare candy makes mew prime bcif imo.

if lost world isnt printed then gengar will drop in popularity. without lost world gengar has no point. absol is the best we have. umbreon (prime) needs a E belt to do anything. tyranitar (prime and regular) takes to many energies. Houndoom is another possability but he needs 3 energies.

@catutie Magnezone and Claydol have virtually no synergy together. For draw power they would be okay, but to run Magnezone you would need high energy and a way to OHKO every single turn

^i was saying add claydol to a magnegatr deck. do 3-3 claydol, 2-2-2 magnezone prime and 2-1-2 feraligatr prime and you have 17 pokemon.

which is why IF lost world we need a dark pokemon that can simply beat it

Absol G LV.X- currently our best option, disruptive power, darkness slugger can also get pokes out of hand, becomes bad if rotation is RR-on, etc.
Cons- needs a bat drop/special dark for OHKO and is relatively easy to respond a ko w/(machamp, promocroak, poltergeist possibly)

Absol Prime-probably no.2, can w/ Celebi prime/extra energy attachemnt get charged up in one turn and get guaranted OHKO.
Con-pokemon to LZ anyone?

Houndoom prime-don't remember what it does which prolly proves my point :p

Honchkrow SV-good attacker but relies on bench and is again easily ko'd. Also prolly requires two turns to setup.

Umbreon UD-sorry guys but this thing is a joke, warp point, seeker, hurl. not much of a counter imo.

That's just me but we NEED a good dark pokemon if lost world comes out.

Houndoom does 70 and they cant retreat which for gengar is a OHKO because of weakness

.....DNA why do i always get ninja'd by you -.-

no kidding, by the time that it's charged up they'll prolly have 2-3 gengar/mew in play hurling etc. ouch.

Setting up claydol would take longer and uxie and azelf are probably both a better replacement for this deck maybe a 1-1 claydol

There not going to bring back claydoll every one just whipe away your tears and say there not going to bring claydoll back.... Well they will bring back a differnt version of claydoll of course.

In call of the legends they will only have stuff from the heart gold soul silver series they hafe to release it in japan for it to be in europe and America and other countries and i never heard of stuff from diamond and pearl being released again. The two cards they have showin so far where from the heart gold soul silver series.

^ no because that would speed things up. we want slow. they said they are going to slow it down...but they did make mew prime so idk...

also possibly a Pure dark deck with Umbreon as an anti-sp counter if SP still sees play

There are less than 50 cards that were released in Japan but not here, and a significant portion of them are promos that we didn't get. I doubt they will find another 50 cards to reprint just from HGSS (Especially since we pretty much know that the next format will be HS-on or before).

^ we didnt get 13 cards from that set. with 95 cards in the set im sure not all will just be reprints. and really TR is still fairly new so i dont think that they will reprint any from there so theres 3 sets to reprint from and maybe some from DP P sets
