Collecting Card Collection Value

Hey everybody,

I just recently found my old pokemon cards. And i was wondering their value, i looked on different sites, and it seems that some of them are quite expensive in near mint condition. But i was just wondering how if these are rare cards and something i could sell. And if i do sell them, should it be together or as individual cards. If anyone has any interesting backstory on some of the cards, i am eager to learn. I haven't traded these cards in 15 years. And if this isn't the forum for such things, then please excuse me.

You definitely have a few unique ones, but be wary when you use the term "near mint". Surface scratches are sometimes hard to identify, but if you angle the card against some strong light, you may very well see some, especially with cards of this age. Your Deoxys ex has edgewear which will unfortunately hurt the value of the card as well.

The Shining Gyarados is one of two of the first-ever Shining Pokémon to be introduced in the Pokémon Trading Card Game. I have held onto mine as a collector because I like it, but those generally go for a pretty penny. That Jirachi is from EX Deoxys and is a highly playable card in old format decks; make sure you are aware of its full value prior to selling that and understand it still has relevance today.

I would personally piece out my collection instead of selling it as a lot. While you may get rid of it quicker as a lot, you won't net as much profit. If you have no deadline on how long you'd wanna sit on these cards for, sell em one-by-one.

Yea make sure that the Gyrados is near mint like, sleeve it now. All Prices Are Near Mint On TCG Player

Salamence goes for just under $30
Registeel: 9
Deoxys: 3 but I see some play wear on the top edge of the card so it goes for $4 in moderately played
Articuno: $26 Near Mint but even moderately played goes for $18
