When any water pokemon attacks this pokemon, instead of damage, heal 20 damage from the pokemon.

Flipless Fun
Neither player may use a PokePower, PokeBody, Ability, or attack that requires either player to flip a coin. No Trainers, Supporters, or Stadiums that have an effect that requires either player to flip a coin (if there is already a Stadium in play with that effect discard it).

This format totally needs that. To the death of coin flips! (except for the opening one, and the only way to remove that would be sableye)

I agree, it would be broken in this format, but Gardevoir wasn't tier 1 because if it's power, it was tier 1 because of it's attack. It's power was just icing on the cake. Porygon Z was only BDIF because Porygon 2 could abuse Seeker, and pick up all of your opponents benched pokemon and donk them. Porygon2 wasn't in any decks except rouges during that format.

I disagree. I feel like if it had only had its attack and a worse 'Power, it still wouldn't have been BDIF. It needed both to be great.

Nothing touches the Lost Zone. You of all people, being a Lost Zone Master, should know this. Plus, this is horribly horribly overpowered.

How about a less obviously satirical version of hipoke's?

For Unown S:

Shield
Once during your turn (before your attack), if this Pokémon is on your bench, you may discard all cards attached to this Pokémon and attach this Pokémon to 1 of your Pokémon as a Pokémon Tool card. As long as this Pokémon is attached to a Pokémon, that Pokémon can't be affected by your opponent's Trainer: Item cards.

Hey, it could very well save a good number of decks.

For the next Electivire that comes out:

Thunderstorm,

For each electric energy attached to your Pokemon, remove 2 damage counters from that Pokemon between turns.

Also horribly OP. What if I just take a massive tank (play 3-3 Donphan and 2-2 Steelix) and use Pachi/Shay engine to attach 6 lightning energy to one of them, depending on the matchup? You are never going to touch that thing.

Super Sniper:
If you're at a Premier Rated Tournament, pick a player in the room. This attack does 50 damage to that player's active pokemon. If that pokemon is KO'd, you and that person's opponent may take a prize.

I'll Super Sniper that guy over there FTW x2!!! :ninja

If you switch this pokemon in after your active pokemon is Knocked out, this pokemon's attacks do 50 more damage.

Speed Boost
Once during your turn, you may draw a card.

Tinted Lens
If the Defending Pokemon has a resistance towards this Pokemon's type, ignore that resistance.

Oblivious
As long as this Pokemon is your active Pokemon, your opponent cannot take any prize cards. (However, if this Pokemon is knocked out, they can take a prize card)

Sap Sipper
If a {G} type Pokemon attacks this Pokemon, prevent all damage. During your next turn, any attacks done by this Pokemon are raised by 20.

Serene Grace
If this Pokemon flips a coin for one of its attacks, you may reflip the coin once. You can't use more than one Serene Grace Ability each turn.

Justified
If a {D} type Pokemon attacks this Pokemon, this Pokemon's attacks do 20 more damage during your next turn.

Plus/Minus
As long as a Pokemon on your bench has the Ability Minus/Plus, this Pokemon's attacks do 30 more damage.

Shield Dust
Prevent all effects of attacks, excluding damage, done to this Pokemon.

Unnerve
As long as this Pokemon is in play, your opponent cannot attach any Pokemon Tools to any of his or her Pokemon. Any Pokemon tools currently attached to any of his or her Pokemon are discarded.

Yeah, I saw that. Just add it as a 1-1 tech in any deck that has a problem with water-types, and you're fine. It totally destroys an entire type.

I would make an ability for Fire types that says

Each fire energy attached to your fire pokemon counts as 2 fire energy

Its like the Sceptile from way back

And it would be totally OP. We already have Typhlosion and Emboar, fire already has enough energy-abusing abilities.

^If it's on a Stage 2 with high retreat, it could become more of a problem than it helps once Catcher comes out.

This is always hard to do balanced.
But since Pokemon has too little grave-based stuff, here's one.

(Possibly stick it onto the next Banette or something.)

Ability: Call from Beyond
Once during your turn, before you attack, if Banette is in your discard pile, you may discard 2 cards and put Banette into your hand.


Then all he needs is a suicidal attack to go with it (maybe a variant of the Cursed Drop from SW), and there we go.

Ability: Trapping Aura

As long as this Pokemon is your active Pokemon, your opponent's Pokemon can't use any abilities.

^Generally, I think some Pokemon in the future should have some ability like this. I mean, as of now, there's nothing that locks abilities, and I think we should get something like this very soon. Which Pokemon will get it? Who knows.

As for others, here is what I thought for some certain Pokemon

Volcarona

Ability: Flame Body

If Volcarona is damaged by an opponent's attack, the attacking Pokemon is now burned, and place 4 damage counters instead of 2 damage counters on the burned Pokemon between turns.

^Yeah, I think it would be fun to have some Pokemon that can deliver burns more menacing than usual, sort of like this one stadium that had an effect very similar to this.

Bisharp

Ability: Defiant

If Bisharp is damage by an opponent's attack, each of Bisharp's attacks do 30 more damage to any of your opponent's Pokemon on your next turn.

^I think this ability could make Bisharp pretty competitive. I could imagine giving him a snipe attack to take advantage of that Ability, and, of course, some attack that can hit hard on the defending Pokemon.

As long as Landorus is on your Bench, any attacks without effects do 20 more damage to the Defending Pokémon. You can only use 1 "Menacing Gaze" Ability at a time.

Pretty much all of the abilities you suggested are really cool, some of the best I've seen in this thread... and most are balanced enough. I particularly love Head Start, Prominence, and Lordly Stance.
