I have give a stage 2 the ability to shut down all of your opponent's abilities with its own ability, but only when its active. Kinda like that Muk card from way back when. I cant remember excatly which one though. I think it was a rocket set.

here is another one that was rolling around in my head

Payback

If this pokemon takes damage from an opponents attack, even if this pokemon is knocked out, you may flip 2 coins. If both are heads put damage counters equal to half of the damage done. (Round up to the nearest 10)

hmmm is that a little over powering? imagine you doing 200 for weakness then getting both heads and doing 100 back xD

One I thought of for weavile:

Claw Retract:
Once during your turn, before you attack, you may flip a coin. If heads, prevent all effects of attacks done to Weavile during your opponent's next turn.

Nice and simple but effective! Great against beartic and cobalion.

Reckless Afro:
Once during your turn you may put 5 damage counters on this pokemon, if you do all damage done by this pokemon to the opponent's active pokemon are increased by 50.

For all Baby Pokemon HGSS-on,

Baby Evolution: As many times during your turn, you may put a [blank] onto [a baby Pokemon (i.e Pichu)]. This counts as evolving your Pokemon.

Why Nintendo, why couldn't you let us evolve our HGSS-on Baby Pokemon? :(

I would have this for an Alakazam:

Mental Fusion
Once during your turn, before your attack, you may discard a basic energy card attatched to this Pokémon. If you do, you may look at your opponent's hand and discard up to two cards from it. Put 2 damage counters on Alakazam.

Zoroark EX (EX because he would be from the upcoming sets)

Ability: Illusion/Shapeshift (I'm undecided on the name :p)

Once during your turn (before you attack) you may attach any Pokemon from your hand to Zoroark EX. (This does not count as evolving Zoroark EX.) Treat Zoroark EX as if it were that Pokemon instead. It can't evolve, devolve, or use any Poke-Powers, Poke-Bodies, or Abilities. During your turn, you may discard the Pokemon card attached to Zoroark EX. This ability can't be used if Zoroark EX is asleep, confused, or paralyzed. If Zoroark EX becomes asleep, confused, or paralyzed, discard all Pokemon attached to it.

It's very similar to Brock's Ninetails Pokemon Power but I think it really fits Zoroark EX. LMK what you guys think!

Edit: I removed the part of not needing the required energies.

^I think that would be a bit overpowered. It's like Yanmega, only you can have as many cards in your hand as you want and you can do more than 70 damage or 40 sniping...

Synchronize

This ability copies what ever your opponents active Pokemon's ability is. If the opposing Pokemon has no ability ignore this effect.

i couldnt really figure out how to word it...hmmm

Synchronize

While this Pokemon is in play, Synchronize has the same effect as the Defending Pokemon's Ability (Poke-Power, or Poke-Body (if you want to add that too)). If the Defending Pokemon doesn't have an Ability, (Poke-Power, or Poke-Body) ignore this effect.

That's how I would word it.

Synchronize would be an awsome ability against emboar/feraligatr imagine catchering up an emboar and the fandangoing to set up.
Also another interesting possibility is when the poke is against hydeigion from RC. The user of synchronize would not be able to use any attacks because all of its energy would be {D}.

Instead I've come up with this abilty for Alakazam

As often as you like during your turn (before your attack) you may put a Stage 2 Evolution card from your hand onto the matching Basic Pokémon. You can only use this abilty when you would be allowed to evolve that Pokémon anyway.

Time warp is much more OP. it's a never ending rare candy.

Interesting topic.
Back before it was even announced that Abilities were coming to the TCG, PokeChamp and I made a set in which every Pokémon had an Ability, which could honestly be activated anywhere as long as you could use them. Here are some of the favorites that we came up with.

For Whimsicott:
Head Start
Any attack on any Pokémon in play that requires 1 or less energy cards to use can be used without any energy.

For Eelektross:
Livewire
If your opponent has any {F} Pokemon in play, you may attach a {L} energy card from your hand to Eelektross in addition to your normal energy attachment.

For Cofagrigus:
Tomb Sealing
As long as Desukan remains on the field, your opponent cannot draw any cards from any of their Pokémon's attacks.

For Serperior:
Lordly Stance
Each of your evolved Pokémon (besides Serperior) can use the attacks of any Pokémon underneath it.

For Litwick:
Ballad of the Candles
Once during your turn, before your attack, if Litwick is your Active Pokemon and you have 3 Litwick on your bench, you may search your deck for a Chandelure and place it on Litwick (this counts as evolving Litwick). Discard the other 3 Litwick (your opponent does not draw a prize card for this).

For Emboar:
Prominence
If you have more than twice the number of cards in your hand than your opponent, ignore all {R} energy requirements for Emboar's attacks.

For Landorus:
Menacing Gaze
As long as Landorus is on your Bench, any attacks without effects do 20 more damage to the Defending Pokémon. You can only use 1 "Menacing Gaze" Ability at a time.

I don't see how its OP, you can't use the ability on the turn the basic is played down, which prevents the abuse BTS had last format.
