Alright guys, since its my last battle roads until the fall considering i am not going to nationals or worlds, i have decided to have a little fun with this last go at battle roads. I call it "The Disappearing Act" the whole point of the deck is to bench your opponent by returning all the pokemon to there hand. Thats right, i said return, not knock out. You do this by using the Carnivine from Dark explorers. For {G}{G}{C} you return there active pokemon to there hand. With celebi prime it shouldnt be that hard to pull off, Am i right? Lets see!! Please leave any type of opinion on this deck list. I am still trying to tinker around with it so i can at least win 1 or 2 matches turn one. I also added some other cards to give it a chance late game. PLEASE comment!!!!!!!

Pokemon: 10
4 Carnivine DEX
4 Celebi Prime TR
2 Smeargle UN

T/S/S: 38
4 Energy Search
2 Random Receiver
4 Dual Ball
4 Level Ball
4 Super Scoop Up
4 Switch
4 Junkarm
2 N
2 Professor Oaks New Theory
2 Seeker
3 Professor Juniper
3 Sky Arrow Bridge

Energy: 12
12 {G}

YESSSS! finally! someone who found a use for this too! haha i was lookng into thi deck idea a while ago but i had the idea to use it with shiftry from ND(the one with the ability that u flip a coin for and if heads u choose one of ur opponents pokes and it gets shuffled away:p) but i wouldnt consider this until de evolution spray came out. just thought id throw that in there :p

This deck list actually looks pretty okay, for what its trying to do. I honestly don't see the point of Energy Search if you can just run more Grass or Double Colorless Energy, though. Are you just trying to thin out your deck a little bit? I don't see Energy Search doing anything else besides that :/ .

With both Seeker and Draw Support, Random Reciever might be a bad idea because you aren't guaranteed what you need. PokeGear3.0 might work better in this case because, although it is also not a guarantee, it will give you a choice between Seekers and draw supporters in some situations. Try it out.

i like random receiver in there a little better because i still need that juniper or oak to get the donk. and i took out mewtwo and shamyn and the dce to make room for more grass energy and more energy search. I like the energy search in there just because i need 3 to do the attack and that gives me more of a chance to get the donk on the first turn. i tested it out yesterday and it donked turn one 4 out of 5 times, the 5th time they had 3 pokemon and it was Zekeels. I am also thinking about taking out one super scoop up to max out switch. Turns out it sucks when your only option is to use SSU and it flips tails...

I'd add a 4th switch and drop eviolite for Victory Medal. The switch allows you to abuse your Active Powers As Much as Possible and the Victory Medals, while being flippy, help get out needed cards, draw cards, or just waste. When trying to bench T1, Eviolites are pointless...

What happens if you don't get the donk? They can just put down the basic again if you don't donk. If they start with 3 basics, then the only thing you can do is use Tornadus and hope they get down to 2 basics, use Seeker, and then Carnevine. What if they go first and get set up? What if you need to use a Juniper, and they start with 2? Then you can't use Seeker. All it comes down to is if you go first or not. And even if you do go first, you'd need 9-11 cards minimum to get the donk.

By all means. Prove my wrong. But I just don't really see a way to win if they get set up, or they start with 2 or more basics.

^You know, if you read the synopsis of the deck before you commented then you would know this is just for fun. I am not planning on winning the tournament with the deck. All I want to do is play something nobody plays and try to make it work. Thanks for taking the fun out of Pokemon.

I dropped tornadus and eviolite to max out switch, super scoop up, duall ball, level ball, and energy search. Just to make the donk consistency better. I am also thinking about changing random receiver for Xtranciever. Tell me what you think.

Now I feel bad :( I did in fact read the synopsis before posting and I was aware you maid this deck for fun. I just think it'd be a boring struggle to win after they get 3 or more Pokemon out. I've always been a fan of rouge decks. But if it's only going to win 50% or less of the time, then it's just not for me.

Well that's you, not everybody else. Do you ever get tired of all the people that take this card game WAY to seriously? Like, they will go to a tournament and drop if teu don't have a chance at top cut. To me that's not fun. Pokemon is fun because they give us soooooo many cards and only a few are used. Why go with everybody and make a deck that everyone uses? I like putting my own thought into decks.

I agree. In the end. It's about fun. Not Top Cut. And a rouge deck is a great way to achieve that. So go ahead and play it. I'm not stopping you. I just hate the thought of having a single coin flip decide who wins and who loses (On most occasions). But again, that's just me. And yea. I really don't like those people who take the game to seriously. I don't think they'd drop if they couldn't make Top Cut. But they're always like "That deck sucks. Use Darkrai instead. Run 3 Mewtwos, it's the best card in the format. TROLOLOLOL" and it drives me nuts.

All the serious players in my area drop of they lose the chance at top cut. And from what I have been play testing with the updated list it works pretty well. If only I could put sharpedo in it...

Have you been going first a whole bunch. Or was it pretty common for your opponent to only get 2 Pokemon when it goes to your first turn?

It's about 50/50 and I have been lucky with them flipping tails with dual balls. And using the seeker and getting the donk isn't that hard.

A quick thought, have you considered running Carnivine with Shiftry ND? It's possible to clear the field much faster, works pretty decently late-game, and all that fun stuff.
Or is there not enough room in this deck to make it work?

Just a suggestion I'd like to throw out there.

I have but it ruins the donk consistency.
Ah, so it's more geared toward donking. Understood. Makes sense.

One more thing I should have brought up - would Twins work at all in this deck, or would that ruin the donk consistency also?

Well, it uses the supporter for your turn and you would have to go second with atleast 2 Pokemon out and they have to knock one out. And you only get to get 2 cards. If you need to use seeker, you're screwed.

Results from tournament:

Round 1 loss to Quad Entei. He only started with one when i went first but i was a dual ball or level ball away from the donk..
Round 2 loss to random cards... She started with a full bench and eventually got a tornados ex set up...
Round 3 win to magnezone. Turn one donk :)
Round 4 win to Hammer Time. He started with a lone darkrai and tornados and went first and attached to darkrai. I went but didn't get the seeker so i lure poisoned. He went didn't put down another pokemon, i top decked a seeker for the win.
Round 5 win To Zororark spam. I went second and got the seeker donk. Felt great
round 6 Loss to quad entei. He went first and got all 4 out.

Over all i went 3-3 which is a lot better than i thought i would go, My goal was to donk once and i ended top doing it three times. I am going to mark that as a win in my book. :)
