Traveling Storyteller and Card Faker
Pokemon: 19

  • 4-2-4 Haxorus Plasma Blast
    3-3 Bronzong Phantom Forces
    1 Keldeo-EX Legendary Treasures
    1 Cobalion Legendary Treasures
    1 Mr. Mime Plasma Freeze
Trainers/Supporters/Stadiums: 29

  • 4 Professor Juniper
    4 N
    3 Skyla
    1 Lysandre
    1 Iris
    1 Lysandre's Last Resort

    3 VS Seeker
    3 Ultra Ball
    1 Battle Compressor
    3 Rare Candy
    1 Switch
    2 Float Stone
    2 Startling Megaphone
Energy: 12

  • 8 Metal Energy
    4 Rainbow Energy
Bronzong – Metal – HP90
Stage 1 – Evolves from Bronzor

Ability: Metal Chain
Once during your turn, you may choose 1 Metal Energy from your discard pile and attach it to 1 of your Benched Pokemon.

[M][M][C] Hammer In: 60 damage.

Weakness: Fire (x2)
Resistance: Psychic (-20)
Retreat: 3
Battle Compressor – Trainer
Item (Team Flare Gear)

Search your deck for up to 3 cards and discard them. Shuffle your deck afterward.

You may play as many Item cards as you like during your turn (before your attack).
Lysandre’s Last Resort – Trainer
Supporter

Both player shuffle all cards from their discard pile back into their deck (excluding any Lysandre’s Last Resort).

You may play only 1 Supporter card during your turn (before your attack).
Strategy:
Haxorus is a Stage 2 Pokemon with the attack, Dragonaxe, which does more damage based on how much Metal Energy is attached to it. Bronzong is a great card that accelerates the Energy and keeps it consistent. Keldeo-EX can be used in unison with Float Stone to keep everything flowing and moving. Cobalion is a nice Early Game attacker and can buy us a turn or two with Iron Breaker, which prevents the opponent from attacking. Lysandre's Last Resort and VS Seeker is a, well, Last Resort for when we need to recycle the deck. Iris can be searched out by Axew anyway and can boost our damage output a bit, so hey, that's pretty good.

RE: Haxorus Prep! Need Help! (Haxorus / Altaria / Bronzong)

I dont think you want altaria.

For this deck there are a few ways you could go.
Pokemon:
What you probably need in the deck.
4-2-4 Haxorus
2-2 or 3-3 Bronzgong PHF
What you could add in:
Cobalion Ex 1 energy attacker, helps you deal with big basics and fighting types that use special energy.
Aegislash Ex PHF Immune to anyone with special energy attached
Dialga Ex PHF Prevents exs from attacking

Thanks for the tip. I'm trying to focus on this being moreso a Budget Deck, so I plan on using only $70 or less to build this deck. I'll definitely keep these EX's in mind if I can get my hands on them without shelling out my wallet, but I otherwise think that it might be a bit TOO expensive to fit all you've recommended in there. Since I might use a bit of Fighting Energy in this deck so I can make use of Strike Of The Champion, do you think Terrakion might be a good tech?

RE: Haxorus Prep! Need Help! (Haxorus / Altaria / Bronzong)

idk if strike of the champion is worth a spot in this deck. There aren't too many plasma decks out there anymore. Though if your area has some, by all means use it.

either way you probably want
4 Juniper
4 N
3 skyla
4 rare candy
3 ultra ball

stuff of that sort.

also try battle compressor or w/e its called.

RE: Haxorus Prep! Need Help! (Haxorus / Altaria / Bronzong)

You should probably use Keldeo EX and float stones in order to get your haxorus on the bench in order to attach the energy to it. Keldeo EX is also going to be a good answer to the fire type pokemon who will knock out your bronzongs, so it synergizes well with the deck even if you arent running water energy. It also will be able to hurt landorus EX which is common at the moment. Also if you want to run fighting energy perhaps consider just 1-2 rainbow energy instead, since that could at least boost keldeo EX's damage as well- youll be able to hit stuff like lando EX for 140 with a rainbow energy attached, and can ohko it with 2 rainbow energies attached.

I've done a similar, if different Haxorus/Bronzong deck that I've been having great luck with online. I'll post it below with the ideas and reasons for my choices. It isn't the easiest deck to pilot, but after making many mistakes learning the deck, I've been able to take out all the popular decks plus some odd others I've encountered online. (barring the occasional junk draw).

Pokemon (18)
4-4 Bronzong
3-3-3 Haxorus
1 Aegislash-Ex
notes on pokemon: I run heavy on the Bronzongs as I want them out and running ASAP. I originally ran a 3-1-3 Haxorus line with rare candies instead of evo sodas, and am still testing the real difference. Fraxure's paralyze occasionally does wonders for buying the necessary build up turns. I have been wanting to add a second Aegislash or a cobalion to the deck... however the deck is real tight as is at 18 pokemon cards. Dialga is not needed with Haxorus. Haxorus's attack math is much better than Dialga's (hitting 180 with 4 energy and a band, and even pumpable without) and the discards are not needed so less bench switching needed. Not to mention it gives up one less prize card, and doesn't have a fire weakness.

Energy (10)
9 Metal Energy
1 Fighting Energy
notes on energy: This is fairly straight forward. Includes nothing an enhanced hammer will hit, making that card dead in other decks as well as countering any opposing Aegislash. The single fighting is included just for the rare occasion I might run into a use for Haxorus's second ability or a rare chance with it's lower evolutions (hasn't happened so far). Feel free to change it out to a metal, I might end up not running it anyhow as the correct amount of metal one hits any pokemon regardless (I've taken out 220hp mega's for lol's with him in one sweeep).

Trainers (31) (this is where I'll probably get the most flack for running :p )

Supporters (11)
4 Professor Sycamore
2 N
1 Fanclub
1 Colress
1 Lysandre
1 Lysandre Trump Card
1 Skyla
notes on supporters: I know this looks scary with a lot of one of's and only 2 N's. I'll explain in the items how this works.

Items (20)
4 Battle Compressor
4 Vs Seekers
1 Dowsing Machine
1 Startling Megaphone
3 Muscle Band
2 Float Stone
4 Evo Soda
2 Steel Shelter (or 1 Steel Shelter / 1 Training Stadium: this is still in testing)
notes on supporters: I know what your going to say... too many battle compressors too many vs seekers... well all I gotta say is it works wonders. All my early Battle compressors (usually the 1st two) I use to put 2 metal energies and whatever supporter I need at the time (or lysandre if I don't need another one immediately), making every vs seeker whatever supporter I need... repeatedly. With Battle Compressor I'm also thinning out cards in my deck... fast... so I get the cards I want, when I want them. Also with early battle compressor action, I get to see my deck, and determine what has been prized and adjust my strategy for it. I usually more than go through my deck in a game. Lysandre's Trump Card makes this possible. if I get near the end of the deck.. as long as I have Lysandre's Trump Card or a Vs seeker out of my discard... I'll never run through it. With vs seekers this can go on indefinately, ruining any mill dialga strategy. The Evo Soda (Haxorus 3-3-3) vs Rare Candy (Haxorus 3-1-3) debate is still being tested. So far I like the Evo Soda... with Bronzong and Haxorus both benefiting from them it makes it more versatile, and it prevents the common rare candy as a dead card. It is slower to build, but it doesn't waste any cards, and having one card to have in hand, is much easier to have than two (the necessity of having rare candy and haxorus in the same hand). Many times I've had just one piece of that combo, and not the other... now it's not as problematic.

Overall I really enjoy this deck. If you have any comments or questions on it feel free to ask. If you'd like to help me test it online, PM me for my username online.

I would take out a VS seeker to add in another Fraxure. This way, it will be easier to get Haxorus out under Item lock.
