[CHANGED] ZekEels

RE: Prototype Six Corners

Yes, that will be my setup. Hoping to do decently at States even if I don't topcut. Thanks to everyone for their help!

RE: Prototype Six Corners

States is this Saturday but I have still made the minor changes that I think should help:
-1 Regigigas-EX
-1 Switch
+1 Zekrom-EX
+1 Mewtwo-EX

The deck was starting to look more and more like a ZekEels/Corners toolbox deck. I liked playing it, but I decided that it might be better to go all Eels with a few techs to make up for the space I had left. Here's my list - thoughts?

4-3 Eelektrik NV
1x Mewtwo-EX NV
1x Terrakion NV
1x Cleffa HS
1x Regigigas-EX ND
1x Tornadus EP
1x Thundurus EP
2x Zekrom BW
1x Zekrom-EX NV
1x Zapdos NV

1x Sage's Training
1x Super Rod
1x Pokemon Catcher
4x Switch
4x Level Ball
2x Junk Arm
2x Pokemon Collector
3x PONT
4x Juniper
2x Skyarrow Bridge
3x Eviolite

10x Electric Energy
2x Prism Energy
4x Double Colorless Energy

If you're struggling against CMT (where all the mewtwos are), Might I suggest you to tech raikou entei legend. It has an attack with a [L][C] to do 80 damage to ALL pokemon with poke powers in play. you can surprise the CMT player with this using 2 dynamotors or 1 dynamotor and 1 attachment to attack and knocking his 1~2 maybe 3 celebis with only 2 energies. Probably able to take his shaymin out too. If you can take 2~4 prizes like this against a fast deck, it's very worth it. Something to note also is that it has a free retreat. You can deal with electrodes too with plus power catcher. Some variants of CMT and other decks uses smeargle also and can be knocked out by Raikouentei legend.

Your eels won't be affected because it's an "ability". Same goes to emboar, typhlo, reuniclus. And same goes to vileplume and mews for their poke body.

The down side is that if this pokemon dies, you give away 2 prizes, also you have to make space for 2 cards. A mewtwo needs 7 Energies to OHKO it because your attacks requires you to discard energy. A tornadus can 2 shot you, because of this, play this card at the right time to ninja KO him! I have yet to see an Eels deck with this tech to handle CMT decks out there. It has a huge potential.

Just my 2 cents worth, the surprise element of this card is awesome :D I would suggest taking out regigigas and zapdos for the 2 cards.

I have a friend who will be running this tech for states this weekend. I really believe when this card is used as a staple, CMT decks will go extinct..

Copy pasted from my reply in pokegym forums (larr).

I don't have it, and funds are tight - I literally built this with what I had left, and even then it's only slightly edited. Thanks for the suggestion, though! :D

Hmm... that's a good idea. But you could borrowcan ERL from someone right?

Don't know anyone with the card(s). Even if I did, I think Zapdos is a faster to set up sniper. I'll still consider it.

I'm sorry I made a mistake. Typhlosion also has a poke power so It can be 2HKO'ed by REL. when tyram players set up let's say 2 or 3 typhlos, They can all be 2HKO'd easily. With REL's hp at 140, A typhlo player needs 2 plus powers to kill you off. This can be a game changing card if played at the right time. (take a look at his discard first for the ammount of plus powers and junk arms in there and decide after thinking about your odds).

Very big potential, hopefully someone uses it and completely destroy tyrams (needs at least 2 typhlos to work) or forces CMT decks to think before dropping celebi or shaymin or even smeargle. But if you decide to play it this weekend for states, you have the surprise advantage. CMT guys would prolly bench their 2 or 3 celebis not knowing about REL's pressence. Prolly after a few games where people have heard of your tech, they would think twice before using those pokemon with poke powers. psychological warfare going on where you can take full advantage.

Personally I hate coin flips for my attacks because of consistency(zapdos). If you're using it just to snipe and that floats your boat then go ahead.

Remeber: once your REL's out to take 1~3 surprise prizes against CMT, They have NO WAY I repeat, NO FREAKING WAY of OHKO'ing you (unless you let him build a mewtwo with 7 energies which is highly unlikely if you play your own mewtwos too). once you KO'd his celebis, he has to think twice of wether to bench another. This is a huge advantage. Remeber, without celebi, that deck is useless. The only way he could deal with you is use tornadus to do 80 or using a mewtwo and then doing the damage again to reach 140. By this time, you've trade prizes and took out his deck engine. IMO it's damn worth it to cripple CMT decks out there.

Also if they don't run tornadus, it's auto win for you because practically they're just playing with a mewtwo 1 energy attachment per turn.

EDIT: I went through your deck list on your first post and I think it's really messy. I would advise you to play 2 tornadus to handle the quad terrakion decks out there that will increase following up with last week's states. I do not get why regigigas is in this deck at all. I would suggest playing at least 2 plus powers 3 would be better considering you're only playing 2 junk arms. There are just too many of pokemon out there with 90hp, 130hp and 110hp out there in this format for you to pass on plus powers. Plus powers will go a long way to help you save a turn.

Might I suggest to bring your junk arm count to 4 and lower switches to 2 or 3 and play 3 catchers. Your numbers on these cards seems really weird. Are you on a budget or am I missing something out..?

I don't get why is sky arrow bridge in this deck. I think it helps your opponent more than it helps you.If you play a dodrio, and mroe zekrom ex, I would understand the sky arrow bridge there but this is just weird and might bring you down.
