• When creating a thread in the Deck Garage, make sure that you post one deck per thread, you use the correct prefix, you have the set name/card number next to each card, you give a strategy for non-metagame decks, and give translations for all cards not available in English.

ChariBoar (Charizard/Emboar deck)

Wait, then this is all pointless. If Mew EX can't OHKO Empoleon, then there's a better counter out there.
 
I don't know why I was thinking it could do 140. Back to drawing board. Maybe we'll get something in the next set.
 
Well, Empoleon is a problem, and I don't know how to counter it.
This deck needs an electric card, basic, that makes 70 damage.
Zekrom, maybe? Outrage can deal some damage, but it's risky.
Well, just wanted to post this change:

-2 Bicycle
-3 Bianca

+3 Skyla
+1 Catcher
+1 Energy Retrieval
 
That would probably be best since Empoleon can't OHKO Zekrom, but watch out for the Terrakions.

And a friend said he will try the Celebi Variant, but with +1 Switch and -1 Emboar.
Any opinions on his idea?
 
The Celebi variant may be a bit more viable. I just noticed the Charmander has an attack that gets energy out of the discard...

Does Empoleon run Mewtwo? If not, Maybe Mewtwo would be the anwer. Yeah, you need six energies, but with Double Colorless and Emboar, it could work.
 
They run mew Ex, and that will always kill your Mewtwo. Of course you can revenge kill for 2 prizes, but it requires much more planning. Frankly, there is no counter for Empoleon for this deck, but either Zekrom or (I still advocate this) Kyurem-W with prism energies works ok, albeit being very clunky.
 
I would say run 11 fire 3 blend or 10 fire 4 blend. You can't accelarate special energies nor can you get them back from the discard pile once they've been discarded. I know Charizard takes 5 energies but if emboar is out then that is really a mute point.

It's true that you can't accelerate the Special Energies, but the Doubles can be used by almost everyone on this deck. But I will try to run 11 Fire and 3 Blend, thanks!
 
You're welcome. My thing I think you either have to choose between blend and DCE for which ones are more useful and since your running Darkrai as a retreat engine then I think blend would take the cake on this one.
 
7. All unreleased Japanese cards and decks that include those cards must go in the Alternate Formats forum
The Deck Garage has been changed to now only support decklists that are in the current modified format (Black & White - Dragons Exalted). As new sets are released, they will be permitted in this forum but all cards from unreleased sets and their decklists must be posted in the Alternate Formats forum and must follow the rules of that forum as well.
If you break this rule: Violators will have their decklist moved to the Alternate Formats forum.

Well, now I'm using Blend for the Darkrai variant and Doubles on the Celebi variant.
I'm also thinking about Emolga for this deck, but I'm not sure if it have synergy with ChariBoar.
