If anything it should be Monferno vs. Piplup, since Chimchar evolves at level 14. Anyway, Prinplup would win, But, I still like Chimchar the most. And like Vareth said, One Close Combat from Infernape OHKO's Empoleon.

Well since im a prod owner of a piplup(and the fact that water pokemon domonate fire pokemon)i would have to go with piplup!

Should it really be Prinplup or Piplup? Anyway, Piplup line still wins. Empoleon would definitely beat Infernape.... plus.. Empoleon is also my most favorite water pokemon!

Infernape might be able to win against Empoleon, because it does have more speed, so with a strong attack like Close Combat or something, it could almost hope for a OHKO. But if it dosent, Empoleon will kill the next turn =P

I think there is a problem torterra use earthquake and do a ko to infernape or empeleon.if Infernape do a close combat do a ko to torterra and empeleon and empeleon do a drill peck or hydro pump to do ko to infernape or torterra.

Piplup would win due to sheer advantage. But when it's infernape versus empoleon....Infernape and close combat owns all.

Yeah piplup would win until their both stage 2 becuase Empolen is water-steel type and Infernape is fighting-fire type like blazkein.

Piplup would obviously win, but could Empoleon beat Infernape? It could use Aqua Jet which would let it attack first.
