CKE (Coballion, Kyurem, Electrode Prime) HGSS-NV

Hi! I was on six prizes about a week ago and i saw one of the articles stating than CKE is a decent deck in japan, but they didn't provide us with a list. I thought of creating my own list.

Pokemon:15
3-3 Electrode Prime TM
4 Coballion NV
3 Kyurem NV
1 Reshiram BW
1 Cleffa HGSS/COL

T/S/S:29
4 Pokemon collector
3 N
4 PONT
3 Sage Training
2 Research Record
3 Catcher
4 Junk Arm
2 Super Rod
2 Switch
2 Eviolite

Energy:16
4 Rainbow Energy
4 Special Metal
3 Basic Metal
3 Water
2 Fire

Strategy: Setup electrode prime to suicide so it can charge up most of the pokes. Coballion is the main attacker using its second attack to block the defending poke from attacking. Kyurem is to counter fire pokes like reshiram, typhlosion prime and kyurem can be used to snipe. Reshiram is a durant killer and possibly a mirror killer (coballion). N is there to disrupt your opponents hand and refresh yours. Eviolite is to make Coballion, Kyurem, Reshiram fatter and bulkier. Super rod is to help return energy/ pokemon into the deck.

I actually have seen a list that got 4th Place in some Japanese Tournament (they make really interesting decks and card choices ._.)

Some things I'm noticing in the list (be noted I haven't even _tested_ this deck but I am _very_ intrigued in this kind of deck and am considering trying it out) In other words, take all these with an extreme grain of salt lol:

I don't really like Reshiram in here. It's ok if you want to keep it, but you might want to consider a Fighting Energy for Terrakion. You don't have to damage him with Rainbow then, and he does have 130 HP, so there's not really a lot that can take him down if you go that route.

I don't particularly like Twins in here, so I think bumping the PONT and N counts up to max could be an enticing addition. I can most definitely see the obvious combo. Go boom and Twins. I'm not sure if other Supporters would be better at that point or not, but if it's working fine, I say leave it in.

Some other neat additions could be Pokegear 3.0, PlusPower and/or Energy Search. I wouldn't run more than one of the latter two simply because I'm not completely sure how useful they could be, but those are also good cards to take advantage of.

Another option is maxing out the Pokemon Catcher because I would think this deck likes to take a lot of advantage out of using those.

That being said, there's honestly not a lot to cut out here. ._. I'm finding these lists end up being pretty tight, but I would play around with the number of these cards and see what works best for you. I'm assuming you want to make this run a bit smoother? Or just see if there's some options you can take with it? Believe me there are lol.

Hi dmaster :D, i think i will drop the twins line and go with 4 N and 4 PONT. Do you have any fire pokes in mind that can OHKO durant cos durant wrecks this deck. Also, i thought about plus powers but i dont think its needed, not that it was a bad idea, but i think there are better cards like you said, putting my catcher line to 4 etc. I will take out a fire if i can find a better fire tech that can ohko durant.

Thanks for the advice :D

Pokexpert: Thanks :D

Anybody has a better tech that can OHKO durant?

This list should help you out to fix this deck:

Pokemon (14)

4 Cobalion NV
3-3 Electrode Prime
3 Kyurem NV
1 Cleffa

Trainers/Supporters (31)

4 Pokemon Collector
4 Research Record
4 Professor Oak's New Theory
4 Sage's Training
3 Pokemon Catcher
3 Super Rod
3 N
3 Junk Arm
3 Eviolite

Energies (15)

7 {M}
4 Special {M}
4 {W}

Deck Total: 60

Hope that works. Electrode Prime and N have amazing synergy with eachother it's not even funny cause the more you KO Electrode to pump Cobalion or Kyurem with energies the better N gets by downsizing your opponent's hand. I guess you could run Twins over PONT but it's not necessary though. Kyurem is in the deck to counter TyRam and to cover for Cobalion for Type Advantage.

Credit goes to the Deck Out Site for the List and cabd from Gym for the decklist modifications. And yes I plan on building this deck myself as well, it has amazing potential to be at least Tier 2 maybe Tier 1 so yeah.

Hi Card SlingerJ :D, i really like that list and i might consider research record but not 4, maybe 2 or 3. As for super rod i might buff the line to 2. As for my pokemon line, i will keep the reshiram till i can find a durant counter, but i think i will take out a terrakion for a 3rd kyurem :D
