Claydol? Reprint! Sure! And while we're at it, let's ask TPCI to reprint Pidgeot FRLG for us, because we all know that was the best power ever created!
OH YEAH! LETS DO IT! </sarcasm>

As much as I'd like to see it be released again, I can't see it happening. Its pretty unlikely as well that people would know the contents of the set this early on.

If claydol get's reprinted, say hello to a whole new metagame, since theres a lot of good decks that aren't as great because they're slower.

@mr.619: You mean, sorta like Machamp SF is now, but it's fine if it draws into an energy? ...Well, maybe that's a bad example, but you get the point. It isn't as fast as it was in the Claydol format.
@Grizzly: High-five.

I honestly don't think machamp needs claydol. If you're really finding it hard to draw an energy, just run 3-1 uxie instead of 2-1.

^From what I've seen about Machamp, the builds I have seen sometimes have trouble drawing into an energy late-game. I blame them for not running Cyrus' Conspiracy.

Any Stage 2 deck which needs 2 or more energy to attack with, or wants to run a tech Stage 2 line as well, need Claydol to be competitive.

^That couldn't be farther from the truth. So, what you're saying is, no deck that has a Stage 2 and runs more than 2 Energy can't be competitive? I think you need to move on. Claydol is GONE, it will NEVER come back. Did you ever hear people say "Now that FRLG Pidgeot is gone, we can't run decks with Energy because it'll be too slow!". No, no one ever said or heard that. Let's forget about Claydol and focus with the cards we have. We still have Uxie and Volkner's Philosophy and dozens of other great cards out there, we don't need Claydol now. Since no one plays Claydol now, we're all on the same level. It's not like some people are allowed to play it and some are not. We all can't play Claydol, it is gone, it's never coming back, and there is no need to gripe about it any longer. It has been gone since September so why am I still hearing this? Is this déjà vu? Have I gone back in time? I look forward to what people will say when Uxie is rotated.

Fixed. ~Mudkip

Volkner's is terrible actually. Due to the current format, most players will frequently have large hands in excess of 10 cards after just a few cards. It didn't have any use in the Claydol format, and it doesn't have any use now.

Just saying.

^Yes, that's true, but some people may not want to use Uxie. I don't because I would donk it accidently in my deck and it could even get Powersprayed. Also some decks may not have a lot of draw power. In Gyarados, Volkner's is one of the best Supporters for that deck. I learned that at Cities.

The deck that frequently has hands of 15 or more cards, and can easily rely on Regice and Junk Arm to lower the size of their hand, and even in the Claydol format had Felicity's Drawing as an option?

I swear you're kidding.

^I'm not kidding. I think I'm the third best Senior in the state, but I won't know for sure unless Pokemon.com starts updating again, and anyway, the two Seniors above me played Gyarados and they did it perfectly. No flaws at all. They got their Volkner's (they run two) just at the right time and drew about three or four cards while discarding Magikarp. It's a really good card, actually.

Well what state are you from? You could say you're first in Hawaii and that wouldn't really mean anything seeing as there are little Pokemon players in Hawaii.

I live in Oklahoma, Mudkip. It's not a huge Pokemon TCG state, but we got some decent players here that know what they are doing.

And Seniors really doesn't matter much when the baseline is always Masters...

I would love for Claydol to come back. Sure, that would totally clash with their intent of the B/W set, but I could really care less. Bring on more draw engines.

dmaster out.

Lol agreed dmaster, and GHJamesGH (even though I'm a Senior, and from New Mexico...), I'd love to see Claydol back, but it won't happen, Volkner's is awful, Claydol was replaced by Professor Oak's New Theory, we don't need it anymore, but it would still be nice.

Let me tell you something. Right after we lost Holon Engine, there were rumors that it would be reprinted in Pop9. Was it? NO. People need to move on. Claydol was very good. We are in a new format... suck it up ;D We are reverting to a very Base Set-esque format. That format had nothing even close to claydol. It had insane Bill/Oak combos. I wouldn't be surprised if we see something along those lines. Claydol MIGHT get reprinted... but I doubt it. Nobody foresaw Gardevoir RS being reprinted in PK (or Delcatty RS). I wouldn't be surprised if that same Gardevoir lover who made Gardevoir a reprint, a promo, an EX, a delta, a Delta EX, a broken card, and an X... I wouldn't be surprised if he slipped Gardevoir SW into CotL... but I'm getting ahead of myself. My point? No Claydol reprint to be seen. We have seen 3 cards from CotL (one a reprint from 2 sets ago). I wouldn't get my hopes up if I were ya'll.

dmaster, what exactly do you mean by saying, "Seniors really doesn't matter much when the baseline is always Masters". Are you saying Seniors don't even count? Like they're not good enough for you Masters? Let me tell you, I beat 1/2 the Masters I play, and I have only played for a year. The top Senior wins more than most of the Masters that come to the events.

And I agree with Zero about this discussion with Claydol. It's not coming back. It's disgusting how we even have a thread for this.

It is just a fact that people don't care about the Senior Division as much, when someone asks what won Worlds, they are excepting an answer about the Masters bracket, it is not that Seniors are worse players than Masters, it is just the Masters Division is larger and has generally more experienced players due to there age and is therefore the main bracket.
