Say you have Raichu X, Pikachu, and only one electric energies in your hand, with a fully charged up active Raichu ready to use all it's attacks. You can't use voltage shoot like that. But, you use Claydol's ability and put the Pikachu at the bottom of the deck, you will draw 4 cards(you can draw up to six). You pull out 2 more electric energies, and to boot, Electrivire and a night Maintenance. You can use Voltage shoot now.
Or say you're setting up. You have Beedrill in your hand with a grass energy or something, but not Kakuna, you're weedle's not doing much out there without them. You use that ability, pull out 5 cards after putting the grass energy at the bottom, and pull out another beedrill, another grass energy, 1 kakuna, a rare candy, and maybe a BTS, and some other card that might or might not help. Suddenly you go from weak set up, to strong set up. Infact, you could be laying down 60 damage with one energy that turn.
Heck, even if you don't get that much good stuff in that one time, you still will get SOMETHING. Cycling cards and stuff really will help you set up.
I don't know about the whole combo thing. I just play with a strategy, and I win fine. ):
Combos are strategy though :/ It takes time and thought to think of a good combo.
I like being original because it's a passion of mine. I hate being like everyone else. Like, I hate it. So much. When I see people wearing one of the shirts I have, I never wear that shirt again. It makes me mad. I guess it's just a pet peeve of mine, see? I'd never use Claydol, even if I had all the right cards to make a great deck based on Claydol and recycling.
And yet, the other shirts you wear...some one else wears some where in the world. Some where out there, they'll probably be a kid with the same exact deck as yours.
And other people love electric types themselves. You can't care that much about originality or you'll find yourself dull and unfulfilled.
People are having fun :/ But it's also good to try to win, isn't it? It would be boring if no one cared a little bit to try to win.
And you would be surprised at some games....
Thanks for all the opinions
You're welcome.
