Claydol???

RE: Claydol?

Uh okay I have no idea why my post was quoted there. But for the people who are saying the HGSS Supporters are the play, we don't have the basis for it. We'd need a Castaway or Cyrus for it to work.

RE: Claydol?

Uh...probably Noctowl over Dodrio. That way, it won't get one-shotted over Garchomp C. However, I'd like to see a Supporter Engine myself. :)

XD It was cause you said "Maybe..." I wasn't trying to like say you said something wrong or whatever.

RE: Claydol?

Ok, its honestly too hard to tell, but remember how the game appears to be changing. It appears to be a slower format, so there may not really be a new Claydol or Uxie come the rotation.

RE: Claydol?

I agree with staraptor. There are a lot of great trainers that can act for drawing etc. It sucks I traded mine away...

RE: Claydol?

I love how people think that Claydol is capable of being replaced. I mean, Noctowl and Dodrio only let you draw 1 card. Claydol allows a possibility of up to 5. And then you can rotate cards out of your hand that you have no purpose for at the time being and hope to get something you could use. I just believe the lack of a strong card drawer is proof that the format is slowing down extremely.

Why is everyone so worried about Claydol its in SV and why is it so good?

They are talking about Claydol GE. Claydol GE has a Poke Power called "Cosmic Power", which lets you put one or two cards from your hand on to the bottom of your deck and draw cards until you have six cards. Basically, it a card for some easy draw power.

RE: Claydol?

Ha you fell into my trap, I was JK :p anyway ninetails for fire decks and it seems to me that the "draw" pokemon will be replaced more with trainers and supports cause in these new sets they are very good.

Uh as far as I know, nobody has said anything will be better than Claydol. All we've said is that we know it's going to be rotated and something might be the next drawpower. Also, Claydol lets you draw up to 6, not 5. :X

RE: Claydol?

Yeah, I personally think that this next format will see the return of starters and supporter engines. I actually recently made a thread about Jirachi in the probable Platinum on format. It's nice to see the metagame slowing down somewhat.

RE: Claydol?

I'd say if you want to know whats going to work well after claydol look to what we played before he was released. S/S/T engines are coming back unless there's some drastic change soon. With out pokemon as draw power we can play with more S/S/T and we'll probably see more variety. I'm really looking forward for next year.
