XY Clothing Confirmed!

I just looked on the X/Y website, and I guess that customizable clothing is confirmed! On the site (on the 'characters' page) it says:

"At certain points you'll be able to get new outfits and accessories for your Trainer!" "What attire will you choose for your Trainer?" "You'll be able to see the clothing you choose as you explore the Kalos region!" and "You can go back and change your outfit whenever you like."

You do not know how immensly overjoyed I am about this.

Here's hoping that we get several options for the beginning of the game.
 
About time! I think it'd be pretty cool if you could wear some of the older protagonist's clothes, too. Hopefully the choices aren't too limited and we can even buy clothes in shops. Maybe they could even release extra clothes over time as DLC?
 
if my Pokemon trainer is able to wear crocs then this is truly a glorious day

This is great news. Hopefully we'll be able to ditch those damn glasses and swap them out for some badass goggles.

Also, on the first slide of the page you linked to it says this:

It worries me though. Not because of what people might do with their character and clothing, but the fact that I'll probably have something else to be obsessively compulsive about in Pokemon.
 
How do you become the tan one to the blonde one? I could get that the blonde could dye its hair and get a tan but IDK how it is going to be done backwards.

It was confirmed with Corocoro but I wanted to know if I could change from one to the other one (I may not want to stick with the same design the whole game).
 
Another thing, does anyone think that there could be hair dye in the game?
Having 3 different hair colors seems a bit underwhelming, don't you think?
 
If those presets are the only things you get to choose from, then they had no real reason to do that. Hair dye would be necessary if those presets are the only character customization available.

I also hope that if you go to the people in the Pokémon Center that ask, "Who would like to been seen as?" you can say, "Myself!"
 
i say this i what they need in the game:
hats (including no hat)
different hair colors and styles
glasses
different eye colors and styles
diffirent facial expressions
jewelery (ear piercings, necklaces/chains, bracelets, etc. but different for either gender)
shirts (i think it'd be cool if they included a swimsuit for the girl and shirtless for the guy so you can go to the beach looking like you are going to the beach)
jackets (including not having one on)
different styled bags
gloves
belts
bottoms (including skirts and dresses for girls, and shorts and pants for both)
shoes
bike/roller blades/whatever wheels
misc. (possibly including freckles, patches or pins on your bag, etc)
sorry, i don't want it to make the page long for everybody without warning.
...imagine if you could actually make Gary Motherf[sprite]121[/sprite]cking Oak
or customize your rival as well! i like that!
 
Anyone else annoyed that you can change your clothes in this game, but you're still stuck for 3 different choices of skin/hair/eye colour? What if a I wanted to have dark skin, brown hair and blue eyes? They let you choose some things, but it's still very limited.

I don't think anyone is. You're probably the only one annoyed with everything about X&Y. Be thankful Game Freak already took a step forward and added some minor customization to the characters.

I love everything I've heard about X and Y so far.

However, if the opportunity to introduce customization goes to waste because GameFreak didn't add a few simple, changeable color options, I'd be pretty bummed out.

this list pretty much sums all the stuff I want customizable

That's because I don't like the look of very pale kids with Blonde hair and blue eyes. I'd want someone with the darkest skin option, but give them blue eyes and brown hair.

I might have missed something, but you'll probably be able to freely customize your skin, hair, and eye color rather than just be limited to 3 different styles.
 
I think that at the start you can choose one of three looks and during the game you can customize further, even more hair colors etc.
