XY Clothing Confirmed!

But I don't want to have to beat the game and get a load of DLC, just to get what I want the trainer to look like.

I think that at the start you can choose one of three looks and during the game you can customize further, even more hair colors etc.
DLC Afros. Make it happen.

I'm pretty sure I'd feel obligated to get Afro DLC, even if it ends up costing money.

On the main topic. To be perfectly honest I don't really care about what my character looks like, customizing my character is just the tiniest of bonuses in my eyes. It's still nice to see people get excited about in-game features like this though. Since it's confirmed that they're going with this new feature, I'd like to see a fair amount of options. I'm not into games that give you an overwhelming amount of choices but games that give you only a small handful are even worse.

Yeah those are just presets I'm sure.

Also we'll be in the Capitol of fashion; Paris! They better have some cute clothes!! I've always wanted a school girl outfit, like the original lass.

I was also thinking if maybe the glasses had a purpose? Most trainer outfits have accessories that are used in the game. On the website it also points attention to the difference between the male and females glasses. Obviously they're black and white, but I wonder if there's more to them? If not then I hope we can remove them.

You are missing the point. YOU OWN A FREAKING HOUSE IN THE GAME! Look at the OP's website link, and look at the slideshow.

Are you referring to the character page slideshow?

How do you know that's not just the trainer's room like in every game? If that's the case, then technically you've always had your own freaking house.
