Intro

If you know me you already know all of my teams feature some kind of weather. This time I wanted to counter the weather instead of using it. All of the Pokemon on the team are meant to counter the opponents weather. As there isn't a universal counter to all Pokemon that can be found on a weather team there are multiple Pokemon on my team that help me win the battle. Without further ado this is my team. Please rate it and give advice as there is always room for improvement.

KingdraAvatarXousB.png
Kingdra @ Leftovers
Trait: Swift Swim
EVs: 144 HP / 160 Atk / 40 SDef / 164 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Substitute
- Dragon Dance
- Waterfall
- Outrage

This team started with this little underrated monster. I wanted to try a Swift Swim Pokemon as at the time this team was build new BW2 threats improved rain so it was everywhere. The reason I am using Kingdra instead of other Swift Swim Pokemon is because unlike those Pokemon Kingdra is actually useful even when my opponent isn't using rain. I used the same logic when choosing the set as specially oriented Kingdra struggles when there is no rain. SubDD was chosen over ChestoRest as most Pokemon that Kingdra likes to set up on can't do anything to it when it is under a sub. And frankly I was getting annoyed by Politoed and Tentacruel who always seem to get a burn on my ChestoRest set just after I use Rest. Moves are standard for this set and I am pretty sure I copied the EVs from Smogon. I don't really know what they do but they seem to work just fine. Waterfall is my main STAB attack to revenge kill those nasty Tornadus-T and Thundurus-T. Outrage is another strong STAB but it kind of gets annoying when I need to get myself locked into it and a Steel type is waiting to switch in after. The best thing about Kingdra is that it works excellent against all 3 main weather teams. Obviously it shines when it rains but its 4x resistance to Fire and good STABs make it a good option against sun teams as well. To top it all off its Water STAB does good damage to most stuff on Sand Teams and unlike most other Water Pokemon it can win against Rotom-W 1 on 1 who is a common member on Sand Teams.

ScizorAvatarXous1.png
Scizor @ Choice Band
Trait: Technician
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Quick Attack
- Superpower
- U-turn
- Bullet Punch

Scizor joins Kingdra for the perfect two Pokemon synergy as they can take each others only weakness without problems. This is a standard Choice Band with Quick Attack over Pursuit. It is a standard for a reason as it does its job very well which. Scizor is a scout and a revenge killer all in one and it is no wonder it is so high on the usage lists. I am using Quick Attack at the moment as it is more useful to me. Pursuit is only really good against Latios and even then I just rather U-turn or use Bullet Punch. Just like Kingdra it is good against all weather. Even against sun teams he can revenge kill with Bullet Punch or Quick Attack.

HeatranAvatarXous1.png
Heatran @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Stone Edge
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Earth Power
- Fire Blast

Before you start laughing I swear to good this thing works. Choice Scarf Heatran is not something you will see a lot in the metagame. I needed a good sun counter so I immediately thought of mighty Tran. In the past I always had trouble with Volcarona who can muscle through Heatran with enough Quiver Dance boosts. Even though this set also isn't Volcarona proof it is imo the best way to stop it. Nobody expects Stone Edge on Heatran and the Scarf set is perfect for it. Its other moves are pretty standard but I am thinking about changing Fire Blast for Overheat (more power and better accuracy) or Magma Storm (bye bye Sash Duggy). It also works good against hail and the surprise factor can give me a free kill. Apart from being a strange set this is still Heatran with its good typing and stats who walls a good chunk of the metagame.

RotomWashFormAvatarXous.png
Rotom-W @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 216 Def / 40 SAtk
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split
- Hydro Pump
- Volt Switch

Classic bulky Tom a.k.a. TEAPOT'S Tom. Just because specially defensive one is to mainstream. I have never used this spread on Rotom-W before but it works amazing. Even without the special defense investment it can take hits from things like Tornadus-T and now Uber Genesect. But now it serves as a good physical wall not afraid of taking a hit from Terrakion and company and strike back at them. Moves are standard for a non choiced Rotom. Works good with Scizor (Volt-Turn) and Heatran. Its specialty are rain and sand teams and it is probably the most useful member of the team at the moment.

3162r8p.png
Landorus-T (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 200 HP / 64 Atk / 244 Def
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Stealth Rock
- U-turn
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake

Another scout on the team. I wanted to try this guy as everybody was hyped about new Tornadus and Thundurus formes. Also I really like its design so it is a big plus in my eyes. It proved that it's worthy of a spot on the team and that it isn't inferior to its brother and Gliscor. It set ups Stealth Rocks for the team which is very important as this team forces switches. U-turn for scouting and EdgeQuake for coverage. It works best against sand teams and is a glue for this team providing a counter to troublesome Pokemon.

LatiosAvatarXous1N.png
Latios (M) @ Choice Specs
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Trick
- Psyshock
- Surf
- Draco Meteor

I didn't use Latios in a long time so I decided to give him a shot again. Standard Specs set. I don't really have much to say about it. I usually just press Draco Meteor and watch things die. I was thinking of changing it to Scarf but I don't see a reason now when Genesect is banned.

Classic set, looks perfect, I found this in the Creative Movesets on Smogon and it is very underrated.

Scizor @ Choice Band
Trait: Technician
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Quick Attack
- Superpower
- U-turn
- Bullet Punch

Standard is standard. Quick Attack is interesting, but I would use Pursuit instead due to the obscene weakness to Scarf Lati@s you have. If you switch in on that thing's Psyshock or Draco Meteor, they're dead.

Heatran @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Stone Edge
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Earth Power
- Fire Blast

Major props for innovation. I hate to say it, but a Modest SEdge still OHKOs standard Volc, but no matter what, Bulky Volc is never KOed without SR. You have the perfect balance here, but you may want Timid to get the jump on Scarf Mamo and Scarf Breloom. I have run into both before.

Rotom-W @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 216 Def / 40 SAtk
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split
- Hydro Pump
- Volt Switch

This one has always confused me in its EV spread, but if it works. You lack a good SDef wall though, so I would advise a 248 HP / 24 SAtk / 232 SDef / 4 Spd with a Calm Nature. The extra 4 Spd gets the jump on other Rotom-W, or you could use a 30 Spd IV to make sure your Volt Switch goes after the others. If you wish to keep your spread, you may still want 4 Spd or a 30 Spd IV, up to you.

Landorus-T (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 196 HP / 96 Atk / 216 Def
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Stealth Rock
- U-turn
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake

This spread used to be standard, but a 200 HP / 64 Atk / 244 Def spread is now standard, so switch to that. You still KO Dragonite with SEdge factoring in SR, which is pivotal for this team. Otherwise, nice job.

Latios (M) @ Choice Specs
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Trick
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Surf
- Draco Meteor

Standard. I see you have no need for Psyshock due to Terrakion being covered by Scizor, but do you need HP Fire with Scarftran there? I would change that so you can outspeed other HP Fire Lati@s and be able to have insurance against Terrakion, especially if you use the SDef Rotom-W spread. If you need HP Fire for Scizor, you could lose Surf, as you have two Waters already. Note that Scizor locked into BP or Pursuit is great set-up bait for Kingdra though.

Comments are in bold. I like this team. Somewhat like Bippa's Fighting of the Metagame but BW2-style.

Good heavens. Some of your pokemon need to have text color changed. (See; Substitute on Kingdra and others similar.) ;__;

Classic bulky Tom a.k.a. Pride's Tom.
I gave TDL and Pride bulky tom first </3

I think if you switched Latios to a scarfed set, you'd have better coverage against the dragons. Scizor and Heatran are good, but Dragonite, Salamence, and the Latis both have coverage moves that can nail them. Scarf Latios would provide an extra check. Otherwise the team seems really good to me. I used a similar Heatran set once but I used HP Rock instead of Stone Edge, but I think the physical move works better for Volcarona.

Thanks for the rates.

@AoH

Quick Attack proved its use multiple times so I won't change it yet. I can usually play around it so Quick Attack is staying at the moment.

I will try Timid on Heatran but it seems those two are to rare at the moment to lose the power but I'll try it.

Rotom-W really works tbh but I'll try the specially defensive set. This team doesn't have any true walls and it relys on prediction to get safe switch-ins.

Changing the Landorus set to the one you suggested.

Changing Psyshock>HP Fire on Latios.

@TPO3

Chaning the name to a.k.a. Teapot's Tom

Will try Scarf on Latios even thoug I really like the power of Specs DMeteor.
