Comparing Japanese and English Cards!

Well, I placed an order for two Collection X boxes and both half decks. I'll keep an eye out if Collection Y comes back in stock, if not, well there's eBay I suppose. Guess I'll just have to make sure to buy sets closer to their release just in case... Wild Blaze better be in stock next month :V

If you can afford it, I recommend placing your order now. I had to wait a week for AmiAmi to re list Wild Blaze, because they had it as sold out.

Can't, the preorders sold out sometime in the last few days. If I see them come back I'll consider it though. Whatever comes after Wild Blaze I should definitely be able to preorder then no problem though.

Watch their site daily, they may offer more. Also watch after release date, as I think some people do not pay for their orders and the stock gets re-offered.

My opinion of japanese cards are they are far superior, all normal cards are glossier with a silver not yellow border. Holos look more holo if that makes sense and as for full arts they are in a different league more texture and thicker. And when you consider to the UK a box cost £14 plus shipping I can't say no can't wait for my 4 wild blaze boxes and a charizard deck to come!! All that cost me about the same an English booster box would cost but I will get around 25-30 more holos/ ex cards insane.

So I wonder what rarities the Japanese cards have. I've seen like RR SR and UR.
I think that RR is regular EXs and SR is Full art EXs but I don't know what UR is, could some one help me?

R = holo
RR = EX
SR/UR = everything not in the original set (for example, 81/80)

I'm not sure what they use now, but I think UR are shinies (and for Wild Blaze) the gold border mega Pokémon. SR are the FA cards I think.

For BW/XY sets, the rarities are actually written on the cards themselves, so it should be relatively easy to understand for those eras.

For example, Gold-bordered Mega Charizard EX has a "UR" symbol in the bottom right next to the set symbol, and Full Art Nurse Joy Pokémon Center Lady has an "SR" in the same spot.

Different eras, however, have different rarities for different cards, so keep that in mind. For example, during the BW era, EX cards had the same "R" rarity as Holos, though Full Arts were still SRs and Shinies were URs. In the Legend era, Primes were considered to be SRs, whereas Legend pieces were the URs. Generally speaking, URs are harder to find than SRs, so it may be easier to tell the two apart if you keep that in mind.
