Hello fellow trainers I would like to start by saying this team is strictly for play with friends and in the battle maison. I am VERY new to competitive pokemon training and this is my first team. I worked with several 'mons to find a team I liked and this is what I ended up with.

Special Sweeper - Mega Charizard Y @ Charizardonite Y (M)
Modest/Blaze (MA) Drought
252 SpA 252 Spe 4 SpD
Fire Blast (thinking of switching to heatwave, is that a good idea?)
Dragon Pulse
Solar Beam
Protect

Strategy - Very simple, go mega and wreck the opponent after set up. MC Y is very good for drawing both attacks from opposing 'mons giving my set up pokemon free range to use moves.

Disruptive Physical Attacker - Toxicroak @ Life Orb (M)
Adamant/Dry Skin
252 Atk 252 Spe 4 Hp
Taunt
Fake out
Sucker Punch
Poison Jab

Strategy - Disrupt set up mons or mons that would otherwise out speed/deal devastating damage with taunt or fake out then sucker punch a taunted opponent and poison jab for a very strong STAB Attack. Life orb gives it the extra power it needs to OKHO or 2KO most mons. Dry Skin is great against rain teams obviously and walls water attackers. My Favorite on the team.

Status - Trevenant @ Sitrus Berry (M)
Adamant/Harvest
228 Hp 140 Def 140 SpD
Will - O - Wisp
Leech Seed
Drain Punch
Phantom Force

Strategy - Burn Physical attackers and set up leech seed. Phantom Force gives psuedo-protection and keeps Trevenant alive longer. Harvest with Sitrus Berry and Drought makes this beast even harder to take down. Drain Punch for coverage and even more regeneration. Requires 3-4 hits to go down from most mons and 2-3 hits for super effective attacks.

Wall - Ferrothorn @ Leftovers (M)
Sassy/Iron Barbs
244 Hp 16 Atk 124 Def 124 SpD
Leech Seed
Stealth Rocks
Gyro Ball
Power Whip

Strategy - This guy is almost impossible to kill barring a STAB'd fire type attack. Ferrothorn from what I have read is a very popular and standard wall due to it's ridiculous bulk. Set up rocks and seed then go to town with whip and gyro ball. Very simple 'mon. This pokemon comes in against water teams or teams with a lot of rock slide/stone edge users.

Secondary Special Sweeper - Mega Sceptile @ Sceptilite (M)
Modest/Growth
252 SpA 252 Spe 4 Hp
Energy Ball
Dragon Pulse
Focus Blast
Protect

Strategy - This mon comes in when MC Y is totally outmatched by opponents rain team or stone edge/rock slide users. It's role is exactly like MC Y's and I never use the two in the same battle.

Physical Clean Up - Aggron @ Assault Vest (M)
Adamant/Sturdy
252 Atk 104 Def 152 SpD
Iron Head
Earthquake
Thunder Punch (Can be switched out for Fire Punch/Ice Punch, Advice welcome)
Rock Slide

Strategy - Aggron is my physical monster that comes in toward the end of the battle to clean up once my opponents have been seeded, burned, and rocked. It has won me a few battles in the maison but I find it gets KO'd a little too easily for my taste (any suggestions are very welcome)

I'd really like advice on the team and if you feel any of the 'mons need to get the axe please let me know, all I ask is good reason why the 'mon should go and suggestions for replacements. Keep in mind I REFUSE to use any legendary pokemon as there is no real personality to them. I am not real familiar with which items / mons are banned and I don't know much about tiers. Again any advice is very welcome. Please be respectful when commenting and do not comment simply to bash the team or whatever. Thank you very much!

RE: Competitive newbie advice welcome (doubles)

You should definetely switch the inaccurate Fire Blast (It will never work in the Battle Maison) with Heat Wave.
I'd suggest Curse over Powwer Whip on Ferrothon for an Amazing Combo with Gyro Ball.
You can't have more than one Mega on your team. So for a SpAttacker you could keep Sceptile but I'd suggest someone like Alakazam sice you have another Grass type too.
I'd say Ice Punch over Thunder Punch on Aggron to deal with the beast like Dragonite, Tyranitar or Salamence. Also I'd move 252 Evs for Attack and 252 for SpDef so it won't be KOed too easily.
If you need any set for Alakazam (for example) feel free to ask me. Any other questions too. Hope I helped! :)

in regular competitive play you get 6 pokemon and have to choose 4 to battle with, understanding this, you can only have one of the six that holds a mega stone?

No. I meant that while OF COURSE you can have as many pokemon holding a mega stone as you want you can only mega evolve one at a time.

I knew you could only mega evolve one pokemon per battle. Sceptile is a back up mega to go against rain teams or teams with a lot of stonedge/rock slide users. Like I said in the post I am very new to competitive play and do not know a lot about the rules and such.

Quick notes:
Heatwave on Charizard, playing Ferro with a team with sun is not such a good idea. Stealth Rocks in doubles isn't nearly as good as in singles.
If you want a clean-up Pokémon I suggest using a fast Pokémon, or a Choice Scarfer, or strong priority users (Azumarill, Talonflame, Scizor, ...). (Talonflame would bring another x4 Rock weakness so...) Aggron is way too slow, and it has two x4 weaknesses which isn't very cool either.

One of the better newbie teams to be honest. Teal is right. Ferrothorn can be used if you want. Stealth Rock is a no-no for doubles. The format is so fast paced that Stealth Rock does not warrant a turn to use and a moveslot. Use Protect instead. Protect is good. Heat Wave from MegaZard Y is ridiculously powerful in sun and hits two targets with more accuracy as opposed to FB's single target and slightly lower accuracy. The Dragon Pulse slot is alright, but if you want, you could use any of the following instead: Overheat (nuke), HP Ice (a pain, but nifty coverage), Ancient Power (coverage).

Don't use two bulky grass type Leech Seeders. Trevenant isn't that good. Three grass types is sooo overkill. Most teams only have 1 if any. Replace it with anything really, ScarfGardevoir, Bisharp, Azumarill, etc. Some typing that is good and that your team lacks. You could play Sylveon instead of MegaScep if you wanted. Aggron isn't really worth it unless you play the gimmicky Mega set. Balloon Heatran could be a decent replacement maybe? It could also switch in to fire attacks aimed at your various grass attackers (and dry skin croak) for a boost.

Honestly I don't know a whole lot about the doubles meta right now but these are just some thoughts.

Wait why would you ever play a Pokémon with Dry Skin on a Drought team? What???

After several goes through the battle maison I have found stealth rocks to be very underwhelming and I am going to replace it with protect. Heat wave will be replacing fire blast. @grantm1999 I actually prefer Trevenant to Ferrothorn because it is more difficult to deal with in the sun due to harvest/sitrus berry, plus it can tank most fire attacks as opposed to Ferrothorn. I am going to replace aggron with garchomp simply because garchomp is far superior and does the same thing. I am also going to replace MScep with Greninja for better coverage since fire types are my teams biggest weakness.

NOTE: I do not use legendary Mons so please don't suggest them.

You have to use Ground or Rock moves for Fire types because Water gets weakened in sun. Try Scarf Darmanitan with Rock Slide and Flare Blitz. Flare Blitz in sun will OHKO (pretty much) anything that doesn't resist it.

It also gives you that really fast mon I was talking about.

Garchomp covers Fire too with Rock Slide and EQ, but you have to have a Flying Pokémon next to EQ or protect because it hits your ally too.

Also, Dry Skin + Sun is still incredibly terrible.
