Resistance: In tournament-terms, how often you win your games and how often your opponents win their games. The higher your resistance, the higher your standing will be compared to other players with the same record as you.

Resistance is the tiebreaker used in Yugioh. In Pokemon, the tiebreakers are

1. Tardiness
2. OP Win%
3. OP OP Win%
4. Head-to-head
5. Standing of Last Opponent

^Most players call it resistance, though. It's a little slang, but it's still the term most players use for it. "I missed cut because of resistance."
