Console War, going too far?

The seventh generation console war started in 2005-6.
Now the first impression, was in 2005. The Xbox 360 was a total change, most of all because of the differences from its previous console. The Xbox360 had a greater controller than the original Xbox, wasn't so heavy and had less buttons. Then we have the new console design and the dashboard which is a new addition.

Then the PS3 came, of course the first edition was and is huge. Better graphics than PS2, a better controller IMO too, and Blu-Ray. Not only you can play Blu-Ray games, you can also play Blu-Ray disc movies. The PSN is free, which is awesome, but it is not the superior network since Xbox Live is way better.

The Wii comes out and the console gets bigger for most of people that do not know what the Wii did. A motion sensor gameplay is actually the most awesome way of playing, for having fun. Of course this is more likely a family console. Still, we have some games that are all hardcore. And there are some violent games. For example No More Heroes. So this console might enter in a category splitted in two. Family and basic hardcore.

Personally I like the three of them, although I haven't been much on Xbox 360 or the PS3. I am having an Xbox360, and believe me PS3 was an option, that I deleted as soon as knowing the price of the games here. What ya believe?

RE: Console War, going to far?

I have nothing against X-box and PS3, but I do like my Wii more. _However_ I don't like the three companies for individual reasons.

dmaster out.

RE: Console War, going to far?

Yeah, Wii does rox. But there are some days when I don't play any game, and that is disappointing to me. I feel like if the Wii ain't enough, that is why I am buying Xbox 360 and a DSi.

RE: Console War, going to far?

I love my xbox 360 and wii.

My only erk with the Wii is that it gets so few games. Most of what comes out on it is a bunch of casual junk. It's really ridiculous. It's becoming "why waste time making great games when we can get out a ton of bad ones and make more money?"

I also wish they just upped the price tag and had better graphics. Graphics aren't everything, but after playing my 360 so much it really does disappoint me.

Hopefully SMG2 and that new Metroid will sway me back to the wii more.

RE: Console War, going to far?

i own a wii, and i'm hapy with it, but i am going to buy a ps3, as it has lots of great games that the wii and 360 don't have.

RE: Console War, going to far?

Eh, my Nintendo didn't really satisfy me, The only games I play for the system are Pokemon Battle Revolution, Animal Crossing City Folk and the most important reason why I probably still own the Wii is because the 10 bucks cheaper Guitar heros and Rockband, On my B-day I got a 360 and was really happy with it, it had many games I liked such as the popular Halo 3, Gears of War 1 & 2, and the Call of Dutys. I plan on getting Rock band 2 for the 360 soon.

But I guess all in all, the 3 systems do have there up and downs which is why I love both my Wii and 360

RE: Console War, going to far?

I own an xbox 360 and a wii. I play the xbox way more then the wii because of better games. In my opinion the xbox 360 rules over the wii.
The order i would buy consoles is this. 1. xbox 360 2. wii 3. ps3

RE: Console War, going to far?

I own a PS3 and Wii. I prefer the PS3 a lot more to my Wii. I am tempted to get an Xbox 360 soon, not because I think it's better than the PS3, but because I want to play with my friends who own one.

RE: Console War, going to far?

Well I have all 3 consoles now :p. I still believe that the PS3 is just a supreme machine. It has blue ray, superior graphics and much better games in comparison to the other 2

RE: Console War, going to far?

Big whoop if you buy a console, just because it has got nifty things such as blue ray. >_> Can't people buy a console just to play games they like? I did so for the kingdom Hearts series. Though I am a bit bothered now that I have to buy an PSP to play KH:BBS. I only have so much money to spend on game experiences.

I mainly wanted my DS for D/P and I'm very happy! ^^

RE: Console War, going to far?

I believe that people are really focusing on some things that are not too important. I have 2 ways to see if it is good(well,3).
First of all the PS3 was an option because of some of the games, but I am likely playing shooters. PS3 has less games, and not too much exclusives as the Xbox360. Then the graphics (with the HDMI port for Xbox360) are pretty much the same, just that Xbox360 is a bit darker.
The Wii is other thing ppl, it is a fun console.

RE: Console War, going to far?

I have all three, and am world class at all. On my wii, I am ashamed to say I only play mario kart wii, but I have the highest possble online rating possible. PS3 network is MUCH better than Xbox live. I play lots of warhawk and LBP. My Xbox is for COD and Halo.

I am a 360 owner, but I question the "exclusives" argument for it. What great exclusives does it have? Gears, Halo, Fable... And? Viva Pinata? I admit that the PS3 doesn't have many great exclusives as well, but does the 360 have more? Instead, I usually hear Xbox Live as the argument used, but I guess it doesn't apply where I live. Here, most people prefer the PS3 and spend less, so they would rather have a free multiplayer than one they want to pay for. We're stingy.

Left 4 dead, dead rising. What I mean actually, is that their exclusive games are more interesting to me.

So it boils down to what one's preference is, eh?

That being said, I just got the RROD on my Xbox after owning it for 5 months. Got an exchange and a complimentary 1 month Xbox Live. ^_^ Let's see if the multiplayer is as good as everyone says.

Well, yeah, exclusives to me are mostly based in preference. Although PS3 has some nice ones.
