Finished Convicted - (Murder/Mystery Game)

Sneasel was just insane. She knew Victini was cheating on her with someone, and she demanded Toxicroak to find out who and kill the person. Toxicroak isn't exactly good at doing that, obviously. She kept searching because even though Gardevoir and Victini had something going on, it was a one-time thing and she was searching for who it really was. Even when Cinccino was found out (and i think that was the last chapter it was mentioned about killing, but if not..) she didn't want to believe it because she didn't want to think Victini replaced her with a maid. She kept telling him to search, and he stupidly looked in the kitchen.

I'm assuming you mean in the Blissey murder. I'd like to have thought that he killed her and stuff while Croagunk was in the bathroom washing his face, and the scene began when his door opened, so I should have put "meanwhile" before the killing but didn't, so that may have confused you. Also, Slowpoke was pretending to be slow, stupid, and unaware of it all. He was actually probably one of the smartest people in the building, because even though Natu found out, she was just at the right place at the right time.

I'm thinking about a setting for the next game of it, maybe a school, store, something. Thanks for the feedback and comments!

Actually, that's a really good idea! I think I might use that. Thanks! I may try to put up the new one in a couple days to a week-ish then.
 
Well what do you know! I could have sworn it was Smeargle. Great game Turtwig, I loved the whole murder mystery theme!

Hopefully next time I'll pick someone less likely to be murdered right away. :p

gg all, this was pretty cool. As I said, I think this game could definitely do with a second round. Do you think that this was a good number of roles, or could it use some tweaking? What was the purpose of having one person control two characters?

Was wondering if anyone would catch that! No one was filling up the roles in time and MtC asked to be both, so I said yes. However, I knew that it would be weird if one was the murderer because he can't guess yet he knows it all and isn't completely done. I figured no one would catch this little glitch and I was right, and I'm sure MtC kinda figured that neither role was the murderer. MtC is also really mature and I knew he could handle both, which he did well with :D

As for the amount of characters, I don't know if we want more or less. I honestly have no idea because it could work either way, more characters giving more chapters (possibly) and less characters making it less confusing. It's completely up to you guys.
 
From what I've seen, I think 3-4 more people could play. While yes, more characters means more chapters and more neuron murdering, it would also mean a somewhat more complex story and would add more suspense imo. Making a poll should solve that issue :p

Oh, and anyone can vote, you don't have to have played! The more opinions, the more clear it is on what you want.

Also, I'm not sure if I want a "human TCG" type of thing (unless you guys honestly do), but a tournament could definitely work. The less specific albeit specific enough, the better.
 
Ah, it's over. I got buried in end-of-the-month-work-reports, sadly, so I haven't finished my analysis in-progress. Oh well. It was very fun though, I would definitely join for another round. Congrats to PMJ!
 
The next game has to take place on a train. Mysteries are one hundred times better when they're on a train. This is a scientifically proven fact.
 
Some updates:

The one person with two characters bit was a one-time thing. Next time I'll just fill in the space myself and it wasn't intended for MtC to have both of them, it just kind of happened. There wasn't really anything wrong with guessing the characters because MtC wouldn't have won in the end anyway; it was obvious Togekiss was just a really smart bird thing and she wasn't there at many of the murders (meaning in the final three, the other person could have just guessed Nidoking if he was actually the murderer). Just clearing that up, but I never planned on that happening anyway. .

Possible settings: so there were a few cool suggestions so far that I really like for the next series, those being: a tournament of some kind, on a train (I was originally gonna have the first one set on a train, actually), in school, etc. Right now there are tons for the tournament but that was because it was already addressed publicly, so PM me if you want to change your vote. I'm loving the feedback because I've never done this before, so there are going to be some kinks in how I did it, but I want to fix them and hopefully have a great sequel!

Also, I like the idea of letting everyone know their characters' identities more in-depth before. The problem with it this time is that I didn't get enough applications in time and I needed to start the chapter that particular day (personal life), so I didn't have time to make a backstory and it just kind of came together. Feel free to be more in-depth in your bios next time if you want your character to be more specific.

Just wanted to post the second game thread here, as I know a lot of people who would have played in this game won't look at the Writer's Café subforum at all.
