I'd like CnC on these couple things, I've been working on a few things:

I don't think the dark edge is really working out, it does place an emphasis on your center of interest, but it would be a little more smoother if you didn't have so much black in your edges

The last picture is pretty good though.

There all a lil bit over contrasted also some flowing effects would add a extra element to theise peices.
