i rly rly like crobat prime. 40 damage poison is fun. now i've been trying to find a good deck idea where it is the main attacker but idk wat to do for the other cards. help?

Please remember to include card scans when looking for combos/ideas. Thanks! ~Gliscor
Crobat Prime

I feel like this could potentially be a good card in the future... depending on what cards come out. What you really need is Pokémon Catcher or something to raise retreat cost (or something that damages Pokémon that retreat, such as Dugtrio (Platinum).
The problem is, there's nothing HGSS-on that can really do that. So you have some options that might be alright...
-Scizor Prime could be an alright wall. Poison, then retreat to Scizor next turn, and wall with Special Metal energy and maybe some healing. It could work, I'd just watch out for Emboar.
-Steelix Prime works as well, but you don't get the benefit from blocking special energy. On the other hand, it does have higher HP, so it's not all bad.
-You could include some Pokémon Reversal and hope for the best on coin flips. You never know, it would probably get a prize or two. And while they have a Pokémon stuck active, you could set up one of the above two cards. Or something else. Maybe we'll get a good wall in some BW set.

I know that this doesn't sound like a good deck but I ran Crobat prime with Lanturn prime and it was actually pretty decent.

i ran crobat prime with my lost mewgar.
works well as a backup attack when your not able to hurl anything.
also let mew go down with a bang. 40 poison, and bring up gengar for its body

Crobat Prime with Scizor Prime is a good deck idea which I used at the beginning at this year and LuxChomp was the only problem and I think it is a good idea.

@Scizorlicious way to steal my thunder man

hmmmm. all these idea's are great......except i have none of the cards to make them:( i do thing i'll pursue the gengar prime thingy though. wonderful idea. also, i had the idea for a follow up attacker like leafeon UD? like if i poision but get knocked out, i could follow up with leafeon for 50 to a poke that already has 80 poison damage? sound ok?

Mr.willster... You want to combine so many things! Howabout you find something you enjoy playing and stick with that... ay ay?

its pretty useless attacking with leafeon for 50, when the pokemon will already be taking 40 damage. not many pokemon will survive a 3 turn poison from crobat. ur better off using your turn attacking with a spread pokemon/snipe pokemon/damage counter placing pokemon.

at least with gengar you can curse drop along with crobat's poison

if your going to go leafeon, youd be better off just pairing it like the japanese expert deck that leafeon came in

Next format maybe vileplume to prevent retreating cards being used?
any card that prevents retreat?

hmmmm. and some pokemon catchers to play before i play vileplume and some seekers and some super scoop ups. i hav a feeling this is coming together.......

I got to test this in the online TCG game. c: Crobat Prime, Yanmega(uncommon) and Victreebel(TM) work pretty nicely. Send in Crobat to do the poison, retreat and use Victreebel to make the retreat cost more on the opponent. Yanmega is in case you don't get Crobat until later, and you can keep switching Crobat and Yanmega back and forth. Yanmega with it's U-Turn attack and Crobat with it's no retreat cost.

Im totally with you, i think crobat is an awesome card but there currently is nothing that goes well with it. Hopefully the next sets have something.

Crobat & Victreebel sounds good but 2 stage 2's are icky.

Many people are starting to run dodrio which gives easy retreat to many pokemons so thats a threat, i guess pokemon cathcer and reversal might solve that problem.

Though it does not really help crobat, i can see jirachi UL being helpful and used in many decks because of the increase use of candies and stage 2's like emboar and ferg and magnezone. Both are psychic.

Patience.

Yeah, I've been using this since they announced the rotation. It's best and most consistent as just straight crobat. With Lunatone, SOlrock, and Torkoal. Oh and Cleffa if you dig that.

I'm angry that you told the public about my (vaguely) secret deck.

I'm thinking about running this with Metagross UL and Jirachi UL to spread around some more damage and get some cheap, surprise KOs. Shaymin UL as well to move energies from Crobat Prime and get Metagross charged up faster. Only problem is Blissey Prime; Seeker and SSU only heal one Pokemon so it's not a huge deal.

yeah i see wat ur sayin. i think im gonna try out and see if i can get a crogar deck to work. get crobat our asap and the poison, retreat and then bring up gengar prime and then lost work when the time is right. its worth a try :)
