Cursed Shell (Shedinja/Chandelure/Darkrai) Need Advice!

What happens if you throw an Eevee into Space?

I am playing around with an idea for a fun deck based on Shedinja. I don't expect it to be competitive, however, it will not be an unlimited. I am basing it around the following cards:

Shedinja (DRE 48/124)
[Ability] Empty Shell
If this Pokemon is Knocked Out, your opponent can't take any prize cards for it.
{P} Cursed Drop
Put 3 damage counters on your opponent's Pokemon in any way you like.

Chandelure (NV 60/101)
[Ability] Cursed Shadow
Once during your turn (before your attack), if this Pokemon is your Active Pokemon, you may put 3 damage counters on your opponent's Pokemon in any way you like.
{P}{P}{C} Eerie Glow 50
The Defending Pokemon is now Burned and Confused.

Darkrai (DE 63/108)
[Ability] Dark Cloak
Each of your Pokemon that has any {D} Energy attached to it has no Retreat Cost.
{D}{D}{C} Night Spear 90
Does 30 damage to 1 of your opponent's Benched Pokemon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokemon.)

My idea is to pair Shedinja's Cursed Drop with Chandelure's Cursed Shadow in order to apply a total of 60 damage for just {P}. While Darkrai is used mainly for his Dark Cloak ability (only attacking for possible double KO's and in dire situations.) What do you think? Is this a viable strategy? As Shedinja can be easily KOed I am thinking of including plenty of Super Rods and/or Revives to keep him in the game. I am also considering the use of either/or Eviolite/Giant Cape in order to give him a bit more durability. What else do I need?

As this is my first post I do apologize for any inconsistencies or errors. Please notify me and I shall be happy to correct them. Thank you for any advice given.

RE: Cursed Shell (Shedinja/Chandelure/Darkrai Deck) Need advice!

Cards You'd need:
4 Switch, if you use the retreat for the turn and want to push more damage Switch makes it a lot easier to do
4 Super Rod, No matter what, Shedinja is going to be Ko'd, and this let's you put them back in the deck to re-bench them with Ninjask
3-4 Ninjask Fast way of getting Shedinja onto the bench without having to evolve Nincada
3-4 N, You're most likely going to be falling behind with a Slow Deck, and N makes the faster decks cringe
2 Eviolite, Your Darkrai is going to be Catcher Bait, and Eviolite just makes him survive longer
4 Max Potion Chandalure will always be a prime target, and Max Potion means You just heal off all that damage
4 Blend Energy [Psychic,Dark,Fire,Grass] This card counts as a dark energy, and a psychic energy, meaning it auto-gives free retreat

Cards worth Concidering:
* Vanilluxe [Next Destinies] His ability is warp point, and because you're not attacking things infront of you it doesn't set you back, it also let's you move more chandalures around to spread more damage.
* Mandibuzz [Base Set] His attack Blindside hits for 50 damage on something that has damage counters on it, and he could hit things on the bench for a KO
* Energy Switch: Incase you want to move energy around to give something free retreat (If you use Energy Switch it's best synergy is dark patch)
* Potion: Regluar Potions Heal Shedinjas for half their health, and let you shrug off Darkrai Night Spears.
* Giant Cape: Make Shedinjas beefier
* Rescue Scarf: Good for things not Shedinja, You'd rather Super Rod them back into the deck.

Um, I'd get rid of the Chandelure. That card will kinda slow this strategy down a little bit, and I would focus on the Ninjasks and Shedinjas. Being a Stage-2, you'll need Rare Candy and a couple of Lampents, which is more cards than you really need. While it is a nice idea, Chandy just takes up space.

RE: Cursed Shell (Shedinja/Chandelure/Darkrai Deck) Need advice!

It seems you both are correct. I tried this out a couple of times last night with Fedora's suggestions; even running 4 Chandelures at one point and in neither game did I manage to put him in play. (Although I must report that Lampent's Luring Light was quite useful.) I shall remove Chandelure all together I think. That just leaves me with Darkrai which I really only needed for Chandelure. I still want to play around with the Shedinja concept, however, I am at a loss as to how I can speed this deck up a bit more. Lampent might be useful in keeping immediate dangers at bay but Im afraid Vanilluxe will be a better choice (even though he is a stage 2.)

I am happy to report that though they were both losses this deck proved very annoying to my girlfriend. ^.^ With the combination Shedinja + Eviolite and utilizing free retreat costs it took her quite a bit of work to KO them, and with no prize card at the end! However a loss is a loss and I think I'll attempt to improve this deck a bit more before moving on. My question is to keep Darkrai in or take him out? If any, what other Pokemon could be useful replacements? Thank you both very much for the help you have given me.

RE: Cursed Shell (Shedinja/Chandelure/Darkrai Deck) Need advice!

Here are a couple different decks using the shedinja strategy, all with different takes on the deck, the first two run Darkrai, the Last one does not, its more of a preference. I wouldn't suggest copying the lists, but its nice to look at ones with a similar concept to figure out which direction you want to take the deck.

RE: Cursed Shell (Shedinja/Chandelure/Darkrai Deck) Need advice!

I have somewhat revamped this decks idea. While Shedinja's ability is still at the core I've decided to drop both Chandelure and Darkrai (thank you for your input, Fedora and Serperior.) I've added Ninjask because frankly I don't understand why my brain didn't put the two together (brain fart! :p) and have incorporated a strategy I found in your Shedinja deck, Fedora (Devolution Spray -> Ninjask).

As it stands:

Pokemon: 12
4-4 Shedinja
4 Ninjask

Trainers: 24
4 Skyarrow Bridge
4 Potion
4 Super Rod
4 Giant Cape
4 Devolution Spray
4 Eviolite

Energy: 14
6 {G}
8 {P}

Strategy: Attack with Ninjask then buffer with Shedinja. Skyarrow to allow repeat attack every turn. Potions, Eviolite and Giant Cape to give Pokemon a bit more durability and Super Rod to keep them in the game. Devolution Spray (as mentioned above) is to help pull Shedinja out of my deck quickly; I'm hoping it negates the need for any Pokeballs although Level Ball seems an ideal replacement.

I've left 10 free spaces for suggestion. Take out/ add in whatever you like. As always thank you for your advice.
EDIT: I forgot to add that I am looking at Mandibuzz as a secondary attacker and have also come to the realization that a couple of Pokeballs could help pull out Ninjask. Sorry if this counts as a double post! :O

(Being a 50 card deck if a moderator would like to move this to the Deck Garage I understand; if I've made any mistakes please allow me to correct them! Sumimasen!)

RE: Cursed Shell (Shedinja/Chandelure/Darkrai Deck) Need advice!

Wait a moment...why do you have Eviolite? Those effects only work on...Basic...Pokemon...-_- Hahaha.

What you need are some Level Ball. Four of them, actually. Shedinja has less than 90 HP, so Level Ball allows you to search it out whenever you need it. I don't think the Ninjask are really necessary because you'd be able to search out the Shedinjas this way. I would keep one or two, however, because a two for 60 damage attack is still pretty solid. Also, you need some Pokemon Catcher to stall out your opponent. That would be nice to have. The Devolution Spray idea is nice, but also kinda risky if your Nincada is damaged. It's also kinda situational. The fact that your Pokemon only have 60 HP hurts your deck quite a bit, but, I think Rescue Scarf would definitely help you out. You could keep bringing them back, your Shedinja, while your opponent is unable to get any Prize cards. That would be very frustrating for your opponent. Just a thought.

RE: Cursed Shell (Shedinja/Chandelure/Darkrai Deck) Need advice!

When Nincada evolves into Ninjask, he searches out a Shedinja which is then put directly on the bench as a basic pokemon, Serperior.

EDIT: "Skyarrow to allow repeat attack every turn" Why? Shedinja has free-retreat so get rid of the 4 skyarrows. Also I am not sure you really need 14 energy.
Also I recommend 4 Tool Scrapper because Garbador will ruin your strategy.

RE: Cursed Shell (Shedinja/Chandelure/Darkrai Deck) Need advice!

Sorry I guess I didn't clarify. I will be using Ninjask as the main attacker as his move, Night Slash does 60 and then allows me to immediately switch him with Shedinja. About the eviolites and the Skyarrows, thanks for pointing that out guys, bit of a derp-moment on my end as I was doing this during work. ^.^* Thanks for the input as always!

RE: Cursed Shell (Shedinja/Chandelure/Darkrai Deck) Need advice!

Ohh...I thought you were using Shedinja to throw down counters all game while your opponent takes absolutely no Prize cards. A tedious process, but a hilarious one. I guess you could run four, but Catcher is still a thing so your Ninjasks could get trashed. I'd be cautious about it. Tool Scrapper is definitely needed, I agree.
