Customizable Secret Bases in OR/AS [7/8]

This is awesome, but there hasn't been any trainer customization shown yet (at least I don't think there has).

I might be wrong but the way I see it character customization and pokemon amie are for Kalos what secret bases and contests are for Hoen. They like to put something unique in every game and that's what we've got this time. I wouldn't hold my breath expecting it to return.

Yeah. We'll probably get the option to choose one of many existing trainers for online purposes as usual.

With the screenshots up I believe this gave us another piece of news; the Battle Frontier is confirmed in ORAS. Howso? Because there is a Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, and Snorlax doll in those SSs, and, for those who don't know, those are the exact same set of dolls that are available from the Battle Frontier. The only one missing from the set of dolls is Lapras (but it does have an appearance in the top SS, behind the nerdy kid). Also note, those aren't all the possible dolls from the Battle Frontier, but those are the only large dolls available from the Battle Frontier.

Or perhaps because there is no Battle Frontier they'll be available as any other doll. Also, like I've said, you can see in the artwork for the SSB a Smoochum poster behind the red tent!

They might be remakes but that doesn't mean they'll just copy the Battle Tower. That's like saying because there was no Safari Zone in GCS means that they shouldn't have added one in HGSS. (Also, G/S/C had a Battle Tower, but the remakes came with the Battle Frontier) Also, none of those dolls I listed were in the original RS.

The difference is that contests were replaced by another minigame in future games, whereas character customization would have no such equivalent.

Secret Bases are back again. I love it! Hope there are plenty of options. I wish that maybe the camera angle isn't so high the whole time though.

Looking at the screenshots, everything there was still is, like the Thunder mat, the posters, the slide, the dolls, and we seem to have lots more like a plasma lamp, a Pkflute for decoration, two floors, boards, a BED, oh by Arceus a BED!!, the fences, a gym stand, glitter and jump mats, Skitty tv, plants(!).
I was thinking that some pictures were about a tree super-secret base but it's Fortree.

As for the name of the new character, it could be better, despite thinking that it may be some pun/connection to runes...he seems like a Ranger!

Do you guys realize that this is so close to 4th gens secret bases? Back then you could not do battles but you could do capture the flag to rid of the bulders and after 50 times of doing that you could rid them all and also you got certain items after you did it so many times along the way.

Thank Arceus that it seems we no longer have boulders to slow things and without need to capture those flags to get some space. I understand their inclusion in the base's games but good thing they are not limiting space. I couldn't care less about the connection features and battling and so it's good that there's a bit for everyone without sacrificing one side or the other.

Awww, love that official Secret Base art! I was about to ask if it was reused from the original R/S, but then I saw the girl with the Mudkip plush was a Fairy Tail Girl.

Ow, the artwork is so cute. Reminds me of the Amie one and Treecko seems just like Pancham but instead of trying to reach its trainer, it's instead reaching for Mudkip like saying: "give me that and I'll tear it to shreds like it deserves"!

PS: I hope we get far more dolls, namely all the starters from every region.
PS2: If the Smoochum poster is hanged besides the red tent, then does that confirms the Battle Frontier or not!?

The hard part about that was finding someone to come in contact with to rid of them or 2 DS's to do it. I was cheap and used my sisters DS to make the connection and it only took about an hour to do it 50 times. Next step is to change the clock and or day to do it all in 1 day XD. You would have to do that 50 times though.

I already had my DS Lite and a year or so before the release of HG/SS I bought a DS XL and tried to do that but then I ended up not liking the console because of the weight, size and because I was starting to get some headaches and since I've realised that I didn't cared that much about secret bases in Sinnoh I just took care of some annoying blocks in my Platinum game and stopped after a while. Also, the Underground had some kind of lag that made it more annoying, namely when turning.

Seriously, I can't wait to see and play more with Hoenn's bases. I still have so much fun with them!

I never had any problems with my games. I did have a base in Emerald but I really never used it because you can't use it really to benefit the Pokemon. They have made battles playable but only via street pass. I don't know people in my area that live near me to do this. It would make more sense to do it over Wi-Fi since if they did it this way people would get more use out of it this way.
