When a Pokemon does damage to itself when dark claw is equiped. does it does 20 more damage? since it state it does 20 more damage to active pokemon...
 
Yes it does.

Also to clarify (since self damage is usually a lightning type or fighting type thing) confusion damage just places damage counters so weakness/resistance and damage amplifiers such as dark claw or pluspower don't increase confusion damage counters.
