Who's got their booster case on preorder already?
Just traded in over $250 in base set - fire red leaf green cards to make a down payment on a booster case. :)
 
I doubt i could ever afford such a thing. I'll have to make do with Pre-Release.
 
I'm only getting a booster box from a local Magic the Gathering/Shipping/Uhaul store. He said he'd buy a box just for me to buy it.
 
unfortunately I could only afford half a case.

Are there 6 EXs and 6 FA EXs again? If so heres hoping for more than one Raikou.
 
All I know is that the pull rates for this set are going to be horrid just like in Next Destinies. I'm thinking about skipping the Pre-Release to buy a box when it's released but I'm not sure yet. I had terrible luck in the last Pre-Release so yeah I guess we'll see...
 
I got my token one box; since I don't play, I don't have much reason to get multiple. Whatever I don't get I'll try to pick up online.

I really hate the pull rates of these last two sets though. They spoiled us SO hard in HGSS-Triumphant and BW-Noble Victories that the harsh bite of capitalism reality with the chase cards in ND/DE is frustrating.
 
lol yeah I'm going to bag myself a bag too =P most likely over the next 2 weeks when I make more money ;o hoping for Tornadus, Raikou, FA Darkrai, and gold catcher (dream box come true :O)
 
I'll preorder one box today. Should I get more boxes after that if I'm trying to get all the reverse holos too or is that not a good enough reason?

nah seeing that you would be able to get most of RH holo's for fairly cheap why spend $90 on another box that may or may not have the RHhoo's that you need. when you could get all of them Guaranteed for probably around $20.....

Haha this made me laugh. Reverse ultra ball will probably be at least $6 reverse Zoroark the same and in a set with about 100 reverse holos and an average price of say $1.50 per holo at least. I hope you get very lucky with your first box pulls.

That said I bought 4+ boxes of ND and still haven't completed my reverse set (dang Vanilluxe). So I agree if that is your main goal singles purchasing is the way to go, just expect to spend more than 20 bucks.

I thought he meant actual holo's :/ you know like zoroark and venasaur etc. not the whole RH set =P

okay so it's more than $20 but it would still be cheaper than opening X amount of packs....
 
I think opening packs would be funner though. I'd get singles eventually but I want to get at least 90% of the RHs the fun way before doing that.

more fun =P and yes it would be ^^ on a plus side you would get more EX cards, and if you don't care for such things, you can trade you extra EX's for RH cards! (to me ^^ lol.... but I am hunting EX cards =P)
 
Pull rates were bad in ND? I got more rare cards in that set than any of the previous ones. But if the rates were bad, I see that as a good thing. That means the cards you get are actually worth something when you get the rarest cards.
 
actually what he meant was the Ultra rare pull rate on average was horrible compared the HS series for example

HS: Triumphant, you would on average pull 5-6 primes and 2 LEGEND pieces (1/2 Alph Lithograph box Pull)

BLW: Next Destinies, on average you would get 1 FA EX and 2 normal EX's (1/2 Secret Rare box pull)

and even though yanmega never got the same amount as attention (or hype) as mewtwo did. Yanmega did reach about $60 in his prime last summer. also there were less ultra rares in the HS series so pulling all of them in 1-2 boxes is so much easier than it is with our current set NXD. Thus that makes the EX's much harder to get, requiring alot of resources just to pull a play-set of them.....

basically they've spoiled us with the HS series xP
 
Yes yes and I like that. Makes them feel more special when you get them since the harder cards to find are now harder to find.
 
Everyone seems to be saying 1 EX FA and 2 EX in a box of ND or DE.

I opened two boxes of ND and both had 2 EX FA and 2 EX. :D

You were extremely lucky. I opened 2 boxes and then ordered two more. In 3 I pulled 1 FA and 2 EX and the 4th had the same but a shiny to go with it.
