Good for you, but that's just you being lucky.

That doesn't have any baring on the "real" ratio of the set.
 
No prereleases for me for DE. :< I'll be in the Netherlands during the American prerelease dates, and in America during the Netherlands prerelease dates. So just the booster box and then whatever other tins/promo blisters/etc. come out as times goes on. Maybe someday I'll buy a whole case. :p
 
Not sure if this is off-topic or not, but where can one acquire a cheap Booster Box of DE?

Cheapest online would be animeforever.net or TrollandToad, possibly Gathering Ground. Animeforever has limited stock but will try to ship it so it arrives closer to the release date than the other two places.

That said I bought 4+ boxes of ND and still haven't completed my reverse set (dang Vanilluxe). So I agree if that is your main goal singles purchasing is the way to go, just expect to spend more than 20 bucks.

me and my friend have opened a total of... 3 Boxes, and haven't even gotten a normal one.
 
This is probably just coincidence but it took over 50+ Boosters (between myself and my brother), to get a single Vanilluxe as well. :p
 
*is confused* :/ NXD pull rates should be the same for DE right? (1x FA EX 2x normal EX and a secret rare every other box?)
 
they're probably be the same except it might be easier to get shinys because there are only 3 of them in DE
 
The shinies will probably have the same one-in-three boxes pull rate as they do in Next Destinies.

Pokemon tends to do the opposite, actually. When there's more and more chase cards in a set they tend to let us get more of them in a box. Compare 0-1 LV. X cards per box in early DP when there were only 2-4 per set, to 2-3 LV. X cards per box (plus some other super rares like shinies/reprints) when there were more per set during Platinum.
 
I'm going to leah a little inside information I've obtained from a guy I know, which the last Few sets has seemed to yet be proven wrong.
All products are more EX and "Shiny" populated the few month or two of the set being released.
Then as the set dies down the pull rates go down just a little bit.
Out of a combined 12 booster boxes. (6 in the first month, 6 in the last month or so up until today).
The first six ALL came with at least 4 EX(2 FA 2 REG) and 1 Secret. The last 6 have all been 3 EX (1FA 2 REG) and 1 secret (1 of these boxes didn't have a secret at all.

I don't think this is a coincidence at all. It's an economics type of thing if you think about it.

I doubt that.... mainly because I got a box of ND as soon as it came out for prerelease ordering. 2 EX's 1x FA EX and no shiny cards :/ I got the box as soon as I could get my hands on it....

and now I'm actually beginning to get better, not worse pulls from ND (1x mewtwo EX and 1x Shiny zoroark in 9 packs....) It might just be me but I think it was more or less coincidental that you friend pull what he pulled out of 12 boxes (12 is a very small number and a very small picture of the real deal.... :/ ) although it would be great if you were right! ^^

i think you just got lucky early on
i bought a case right after the set came out, 5 had 3 EXs, and 1 had 2 EXs (it had no FA) giving me 17 EXs in a case (6 boxes)
Also only had 2 secret rares (and neither were in the 2 EX box, that box sucked)
