Pokemon (14)

3 Darkrai EX
3-1-3 Dusknoir
2 Registeel EX
2 Sigilyph EP42

TSS (33)

4 Dark Patch
4 Energy Switch
3 Rare Candy
3 Ultra Ball
3 Pokemon Catcher
2 Pokemon Communication
2 Tool Scrapper

4 Juniper
3 Bianca
3 Skyla
2 Cheren

Energy (13)
9 Dark
4 DCE

Basic strategy is charge up Darkrai or Registeel right away, deal damage, and spread damage counters with Dusknoit for multiple and effective KOs. For my last Pokemon slot I'm debating Mewtwo EX, or an interesting choice in Sigilyph 42 from Emerging Powers. Its attack pairs quite nicely with Dusknoir's ability, basically allowing it to knock out anything active as long as there are enough damage counters on my opponent's side of the field. It only takes 7 on an active to knock out a 180 HP pokemon.

Anyway. any feedback is welcome and appreciated, or you can just convince me to run Darkrai/Hydreigon instead, haha.

An interesting deck idea, I especially like the Sigilyph you listed here. One thing of concern that I can think of is Catcher, or rather when Catcher is used against you. What if someone brings up Dusknoir and doesn't OHKO it? For situations like that I'd put in a couple switch.

Heavy Ball is nice and all, but it only works on Dusknoir and Registeel. Perhaps consider swapping in some Pokemon Communication? I'd imagine in battles there will be a couple pokemon that are mostly useless to you, so swapping one of those for something more useful could be a powerful asset.

I personally would take out 2 Bianca for 2 Cheren. Cheren fits in for more situations IMO, but this is mostly a matter of taste.

How necessary do you feel Dark Claw is? Considering that it's only useful on Darkrai, I might consider axing that completely.

Proposed changes:
-2 Dark Claw
-1 to 3 Heavy Ball
-2 Bianca

+2 to 3 Switch
+1 to 2 Pokemon Communication (or other pokemon searcher you find to be useful)
+2 Cheren
+0 to 1 Sigilyph EP42

The extra Sigilyph because if you're going to use it as a backup attacker or finisher, you might as well have two of it. It lessens the chance of it being prized.

I hope this helps.

EDIT: Some clarification. Switch isn't strictly necessary given Darkrai's ability, but given that you don't run tool scrapper to counter Garbodor and you are forced to waste an energy to retreat Darkrai, I'd rather have switch as a backup. If you don't need it in a match, you can always discard it with Juniper or Ultra Ball.

Alternatively if you feel that Switch is useless, Tool Scrapper would be just as handy to have. Eviolite is fairly popular (and can be a real pain since it reduces your spread potential), and Garbodor will be a real pain if your Dusknoir gets Catcher'd to Active and now you don't have Dark Cloak to give it free retreat. IMO you should put in some combination of 2-3 Switches and Tool Scrappers.

Thanks for the response, and the edit for clarification.

Dark Claw is just for the pure damage output, I can do whatever with that extra 20 every turn so it's almost never wasted, which is nice. Plus it cancels out a possible Eviolite. There is the downside of it only working with Darkrai (and Sableye, haha), I might cut out both or just down to one to Skyla out.

Heavy Ball yeah, probably should drop some, I could have swore Dusclops was 3 retreat but I guess not. Not sure if Communication is the right choice to replace it, maybe I'll up Ultra Ball to 4, but then I'm risking running too much discard.

For Bianca and Cheren, I'm still considering it, I feel like my hand count is usually low enough to justify keeping Bianca in, but its always a gamble. There's always N too, but for some reason I've never been a big fan of it.

Switch and Tool Scrapper is probably something I need to look at my meta for, to be honest I've been out of the loop since States last year so I'm not sure if Garbodor is being run or not. Scrapper would be nice just in case I do run into Garbodor, or getting rid of Eviolite/Cloaks/etc.. Switch is nice too though, simply so I don't have to waste my energy attachment just to retreat. I can always Energy Switch it off, but that's if I have it.

I'm glad you like my Sigilyph idea too. I'm just worried that 90 HP is really low for something to put 3 energies on. I can always surprise-drop it in with a DCE and an Energy Switch though.

I have actually done some testing with a list very similar to this. I honestly think this deck really needs N's especially if you are just spreading for the first turns, while possible losing a few pokemon. I would honestly use N over bianca for sure. 11 supporters will also kill this deck. I tested with 13.. but I didnt run a heavy skyla line.. but that could work better. I would:
-3 Heavy ball
-1 catcher
-1 DCE
-1 energy switch
-1 dark patch(w/ heavy skyla and sableye you can get and reuse these)
-4 bianca

+1 ultra ball
+1 computer search (If you can get your hands on one)
+2 switch
+1 Sableye (w/ computer search, he can basically set anything up)
+4 N
+2 cheren

IDK if that will help, that just seems to be the most consistent way of running the deck. I hope I helped in some way!

How are you going to attack with Sigilyph without any kind of psychic energies??

Updated decklist.

@Baby_BI: I'm using this Sigilyph, not the Safeguard one.

@G3rm: Thanks for the advice, appreciate it much, but I think I'm going to shy away from using Sableye for now, my redone list right now doesn't include it, I'd rather start right away with Darkrai or Registeel. If I don't like it, I'll put Sableye back in and use your thoughts.

Another thought, perhaps you should consider putting in Eviolite? Most of your pokemon that are going to be on the field are basics, and could easily benefit from the damage reduction. Sigilyph especially, since it has a paltry 90 health.

Good point, especially since I'm no longer running Dark Claw, which was my original justification for not including it. It'll help all my EXes (still debating squeezing one Mewtwo in, especially for a Keldeo matchup), and help Sigilyph from getting one shot by a few things, but it'll still be pretty vulnerable, would still have to be a surprise attacker most of the time. I'll see where I could fit one or two, preferably two.

Like Baby_BI mentioned, how are you suppose to attack with sigilyph if you dont run any psychic energies?

Other than that, I like the set up of this deck :D

Sigilyph doesn't need psychic energies.
